    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

Personally, I would stick with the non-Pro model. 6GHz is great, but only at short range. The 2x 5GHz radios on the non-Pro allow me to run 1 in the upper portion of the non-DFS channel range (80MHz as the lower 80MHz is taken up by other people's routers - no-one uses the upper portion in my...

    GT-BE98 Vs Pro model

I'm in the UK, so I have the non-Pro model, with 2x 5GHz channels.

GT-BE98 Pro and Galaxy 6e Capable Phones

I'm sorry this is ridiculously basic, did you use the same SSID for the GT98 Pro that you had previously been using on the AXE16000? Did you forget the network and reconnect using the S21U? I'm sure I read about an issue with Apple Mac's not connecting to routers if the router country code...

    Wifi 7 pointless

Yes, I know that, I've had the BE98 for months now. SuperShaun and I had been discussing issues with performance on MLO, which was why I was testing MLO...

    Wifi 7 pointless

Intel driver 23.80.x is also available now, although I doubt it will make a difference.

    Wifi 7 pointless

I'm having a similar issue but with my work laptop, and it's wired with CAT5e. Everything else wired on the network can see the full bandwidth up and down, but this machine only sees around half my download speed. Also tried changing cables and ports too. Checking Task Manager, and whenever I...

    Wifi 7 pointless

Tested MLO on my son's PC (next floor above where the BE98 is located), BE200 card running latest Intel firmware and am seeing full download and upload speeds from my ISP... Windows was showing it was connected to 5GHz (channel 100 160MHz) and 6GHz (channel 5 320MHz)

    Wifi 7 pointless

My speeds on MLO on my S24U have sorted themselves out over the last couple of days and I'm now seeing my full ISP speeds (900+ down / 100+ up) across the 6GHz (320MHz) and 5GHz (160Mhz) bands. I've got a couple of PC's running Intel BE200 cards with Win11 24H2 so I'll test their speeds later...

    BE96/98 updates

Update: changing to the Ethernet backhaul setting doesn't fix the 'phantom' SSID's...

    BE96/98 updates

Update: Factory reset and re-set my BE98 back up. Not quite seeing the full 930ish mbs download speed on my S24U, even on 6GHz 320MHz within feet of the router (it used to see the full bandwidth even in the next room) but that's still better than it was. I've set up 4 separate networks: - Main...

    BE96/98 updates

Yep, I had the hex string SSID's and they've now changed to the MAC addresses of the radios... I need to factory reset and re-set the thing back up as that worked the last time this happened.

    BE96/98 updates

If you look on a WiFi scanner (I use WiFiMan on Android), do you have additional hidden SSID's or additional MAC addresses being shown? I had that on my old set up initially and had to factory restore and set up afresh to get rid of it.

    BE96/98 updates

Yeah, I'm seeing 500ish down on a 900 line, I was seeing the full 900 on the previous firmware too. FFS!

    BE96/98 updates

Looks like Smart Connect has gone, there's now a switch for MLO Front Haul for Clients under the network config for the main SSID now. I'm still only showing connection to a single radio on my S24U (I forgot the network then reconnected as well)

    BE96/98 updates

I updated to the latest stock firmware from the latest Gnuton Merlin build and my MLO network is goosed again. Just a heads up for anyone updating the firmware. My S24U says it's on MLO but WiFiman only shows it connecting to a single radio, and I've got weird hidden SSID's showing on all radios...
