    AIMesh not working above 386.5_2

Update on this from me. I successfully performed a dirty upgrade from 386.5_2 to 386.10 and all the mesh nodes. All working as expected however I do find the webui and 86U can be unresponsive after a reboot.

That is not helpful, and pointless posting. Forums are a place for discussion and suggestions based on personal experiences.

    AIMesh not working above 386.5_2

Right ok so someone has it working, and someone has the same issue. I’m fully wired, not wireless for any nodes. Any special settings people know about. WPS on/off, HTTPS or HTTP, default or customer admin port etc? Im one of those people who can’t accept it not working, but as it’s the live...

    AIMesh not working above 386.5_2

Please can you confirm your main router firmware version? I have tired stock on the 68 nodes but still are not detected when running newer versions of the 86.

In the post fella “multiple RT-AC68U as nodes all wired backhaul.”

    AIMesh not working above 386.5_2

RT-AC86U as router, multiple RT-AC68U as nodes all wired backhaul. If I upgrade any nodes or the router to anything above 386.5_2, the nodes show as offline. If I remove the existing nodes and try to re add the nodes fresh they are not discovered at all. I have tried many combinations on...

    384.13 OpenVPN & DDNS

Yes you are right. Shame as has worked fine for years. It’s now not updating at all unless a remove and re add the DDNS. I’ve ditched it and all back working. Thanks all for the help.

    384.13 OpenVPN & DDNS

Yep can just edit as a text file. I’ve also noticed / found you can override the server in the iOS client.

    384.13 OpenVPN & DDNS

Ok thanks. Perhaps better term is change in behaviour rather than bug, as it used to pickup the DDNS address if set. There doesn’t seem to be a way to Opt for this in the settings. I’ve manually updated the address in the file now. Much appreciated.

    384.13 OpenVPN & DDNS

RT-AC68U - Merlin 384.13 Had this working in the past but noticed (likely after an update as I don’t use VPN that often) that my VPN was not working. Router and ASUS who is shows DDNS as working and resolving correct IP. So I tried to re export the OpenVPN client config. This is when I see...

    RT-AC68U 5g speed query

RT-AC68U - FW: 384.8_2 I have two AC68U, one in default router mode and 1 in AP mode. The one in AP mode gives me 950 mbps however the one in router mode gives me around 450 mbps. The wifi settings are identical and I just cannot explain the difference in speeds. Even if I move the router...

How to block ip camera from accessing the internet

Awesome. Will give that a go later and update outcome. Update - Interfaces available are vlan1, eth1, eth2, w10,1. Rules are working thank you. Can access the Cams when on LAN or VPN but otherwise blocked. Only thing that not quite as I would like is when on VPN the cams are not visible in...

How to block ip camera from accessing the internet

Great that syntax makes sense. Last question and something I should have been clear on in my original post. Does this rule still allow LAN to LAN traffic? I want the cameras to be able to talk to my NAS surveillance station and for mobile clients on the LAN to be able to connect to the cams...

How to block ip camera from accessing the internet

Yes this is exactly what I'm after thank you. Assume I need to still add the rule sequence number after "forward" for multiple entries? Can you explain what those switches are doing vs the original? Does this allow the time update traffic or do I need to add that explicitly in addition? If...
