    DNS-O-MATIC Update Only 1 Network?

Scripting was enabled. And I reformated the JFFS and rebooted. Still no services-start, just emptyness. If I use WinSCP to create this services-start file and edit the contents to add the string above, is there any permissions stuff that needs to be done? Another question, please. How often...

    DNS-O-MATIC Update Only 1 Network?

Great directions. Giving me confidence to try this!!!! But still a little nervous. I do have a grandfathered account with 3 a few clarifications, please. Will PuTTY give me the terminal window? Can those commands to test be run from the root directory level in the PuTTY window? There is no...

    DNS-O-MATIC Update Only 1 Network?

Thanks, Again. I am trying to use OpenDNS service with some custom filtering at several sites as well as keep the dynamic address updated so I can access a P2P VPN and do some remote management. Would you ( or anyone else reading this ) know if there are any other DDNS services that can feed...

    Dual WAN Failover Reliability?

I went ahead about a week ago and setup the Asus Rt-AC68 as a dual wan with failover/failback. I had nothing to loose if it did not work as reverting to single WAN would be easy. After a week of using it and testing simulated and real failures from the cable WAN, I can report that it seems to...

    Dual WAN Failover Reliability?

I am considering using the Dual WAN in Failover mode on a RT-AC68 with 3.0.0.4.384.32799. The WAN connection is a cable modem, 30x3mbps speed and the LAN1 will be a DSL modem ,3.0 x0.78 speed. All values in the ASUS will be left at factory defaults for failover and fail back with a ping to...

Thanks for the heads up. I have 2 other "true" Asus RT68 routers that I can use for establishing a VLAN. Still looking for guidance.

Force LAN port 4 to use the Guest network for Asus/merlin RT-AC68U

Hi, I am going to be trying to add a VLAN to port 4 on my RT-AC68 with Merlin firmware and am a COMPLETE noob. I think I understand how to putty into router ( converted it from a T-Moble version ) but a few questions about the instructions in this thread. 1. Is there any specific naming...

SIP Dual Wan 378.56 and 378.56_2

I have a Asus Rt-AC66W configured as a dual wan in load balance mode; Primary is Cable and Secondary is Verizon DSl PPPoE. The configuration is both WAN connections are active all the time and there is a 9:1 ratio set in the speeds for the load balance. If I fail either the cable WAN or the...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

A basic (dumb?) question about pasting keys into TLS. I am not sure how the software parses the data but the instructions say to paste only ---- Begin XXXXX ---- and ---- END xxxx --- into the fields. Is it possible to slightly modify the field for example to read -----BEGIN CLIENT CERT-----...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Thank you Merlin for all the hard work and dedication over the years on this project! It makes the "iron" more than a doorstop.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

A question about the VPN keys. The instructions say only copy the key/cert contents between the -----begin and end------ . When the server certificate was generated, there was a bunch of semi-useful stuff placed in the preamble before the -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- data. Just wondering if...

iPhone 5s USB Tethering to RT-AC66U

I see that USB tethering to an Android handset as a modem seems to be supported in the Merlin builds. There is no mention of iPhones. Can they also be USB tethered and act as a modem? My carrier is Verizon so the "personal hotspot" is supported on this phone/plan.
