Selective Parental Control in my build of firmware

Good points however iptable thing is not so straight forward too. Remember by default both server and clients are on the same LAN segment.

Selective Parental Control in my build of firmware

Right except the last bit. Should be easier and more clean with DHCP option 6.

Selective Parental Control in my build of firmware

Is it possible to run two instances of dnscrypt2 with Voxel's build? If so I can try to mimic my solution with just one R7800. Used R7800s have pretty decent prices recently so I decided it's a time to improve WiFi coverage or to have something to play with if I fancy without disrupting others...

Selective Parental Control in my build of firmware

I have created for OpenWrt some additional family filter solution to limit access to particular services during school hours. Maybe someone will be interested to transpose it for Voxel's build. @Voxel and @kamoj feel free to integrate it into the build or add-on if that would make sense.

Kamoj Kamoj Add-on 5.1 Beta testing poll

    yeah, or from extender menu.

Kamoj Kamoj Add-on 5.1 Beta testing poll

Apologize if that was already mentioned: - OpenVPN client (and possibly bypass as well) trigger re-occuring authentication prompt. Start VPN with this might be to blame. - in the AP mode there is no straight forward option for renaming device. Maybe can be provided as part of your add-on?

Is it still possible to join tests?

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.74.1SF

And another idea: Would it be possible to retain DLNA database over reboot? Regenerating it every restart might be a bit of overkill.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.74.1SF

Is it possible to set up R7800 in a way to have Guest network on 2.4GHz while normal network limited only to 5GHz? Edit: option disabled '1' in /etc/config/wireless disappears after reboot.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.74.1SF

First attempt was with 6x version then 1.0.2.72SF and now with 1.0.2.74.1SF. With OpenWrt it is visible without any issues. EDIT: started working automagically ;-)

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.74.1SF

I have two R7800 both designated for US region while I am based in Europe. First one is international version and despite US designation it is possible to change region to Europe from within web interface. Second one however is locked for US and web GUI field to change region is not available...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.72SF

I wasn't sure if I used option metadata_csum originally so I have reformatted the drive from within the router firmware. Still not possible to mount it. Works fine with NTFS however.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.72SF

Some time ago I was wondering what are the reasons for quite high system load with Voxel's firmware but had nothing to compare against. Now I have OpenWrt build with similar feature set and average load while iddle (no VPN tunnel and no significant amount of data transfer) is 0.1 while the...

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.72SF

I am using NTP redirect since some time already. Following need to be added to /etc/rc.local: iptables -t nat -I PREROUTING -i br0 -p udp --dport 123 -j DNAT --to router.LAN.IP.address (although haven't tested it on your FW)

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.72SF

I have two disks connected to R7800. Both with ext4. Second one (2GB) is being recognized correctly however 2TB one seams to be recognized as ext2 and is not being mounted. Here is the result of mount command: mount -t ext4 -o nodev,barrier=1,data=writeback /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1 mount: mounting...
