    Frustration with RT-BE88U and SmartDevices

So did you just make your IoT network WPA2, or did you switch your main 2.4Ghz network to WPA2? Seems like there is multiple ways to go here. I'm thinking of setting up a dedicated IOT network, on a separate subnet for my IoT devices...then the fun task of re-connecting them all. Not sure how I...

    Frustration with RT-BE88U and SmartDevices

So you're running BETA firmware... Guess I should have been Clearer....I AM running the ASUSWRT-MERLIN FW for the BE88U. I'll try out the ASUS "Official" FW. Don't see anything in the Release Notes to give me hope., but I guess we will see.

    Frustration with RT-BE88U and SmartDevices

    I haven't...but I might give that a try. I am running Asuswrt-Merlin FW (3006.102.2_2).

    Frustration with RT-BE88U and SmartDevices

So Here's an update. A few days in....and everything seems to be stable.. I'm still seeing the kernel error in the syslog (See original post). IOT devices are staying connected throughout the day. Here's where I'm at: - MLO <OFF> - SmartConnect <OFF> ***FYI...Turning on MLO will force...

    Frustration with RT-BE88U and SmartDevices

After realizing my RT-AX86U couldn't handle my 2.5G WAN service, I decided to upgrade to the RT-BE88U. It handles the multi-gig service just fine and the upgraded processor is nice, however, I have been increasingly frustrated with the Smart Devices (IoT). Currently the only way I'm dealing...

Xfinity Gigabit x2 Plan and ASUS RT-AX86U

So I went ahead and treated myself to a New ASUS RT-BE88U Router and Now I am able to get the speed I've been paying for. As suspected, the RT_AX86U couldn't it.

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Thanks for the info.. Interesting way of doing it...I thought about playing with WAN Aggregation. I've been hoping that updating the AX86U to the latest Firmware would have helped, but alas, not. I did re-test the 2.5G port on the Modem (Comcast XB8). Connected it directly to a PC...

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Thanks for the suggestion...I was thinking the same thing!! !(FYI...I do have 388.7 firmware...Just need to update my Signature) . I did some additional testing this morning, before the family was awake. I didn't do the 'strip-down' test, but I'm thinking that the next step. Just to...

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Yea. I’m mulling that over. I hate that I have to rent Xfinity equipment. I’ve owned my own modems forever. I guess at some point in the future they may have a compatible modem from Arris or others. You are correct. I have two AC68Us that are acting as Mesh nodes. Mostly as wireless...

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Ok....here's the latest. After doing some testing with my beefy desktop, I was able to get 2G down from the Xfinity XB8 gateway. So that means the Rt-AX86U can't handle the 2G coming from the Gateway/Modem. Now what? A new Router?

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

I have it set to 2.5G WAN....However, I don't think the AX86U can handle it. I was just able to confirm I CAN get 2G from the Xfinity XB8- Port #4. So it has to be the AX86U.

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Appreciate the reply... I get that I'm not going to have 2G down on my LAN devices....but I would be happy to see anything close to 2G at my Router. As stated previously...I was fairly content with my 900+ avg download speed with my 1G service.. Occasionally, I would see peaks of...

Yup...Numerous times.. Even took it out of Bridge mode and same.

Anyone Getting over 2G on the 2.5G WAN port of RT-AX86U?

Appreciate your comments, however that is not the issue. If I'm being sold 2G service, and I have a device (Modem) that says it will receive 2G service, then I should be getting somewhere close to 2G service. Not 600/700 Mbps. And yes...I do not expect my devices to get close to 2G on the...
