Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

Yea...Not gonna work for me. I have 6 people in the house. 2 work from home, 3 are heavy gamers, and everyone streams (Netflix, Disney, Prime, Apple, etc..) The S33 was only $160 and has been a rock-start so far.

    AX-86U and IPV6 with Xfinity???

IPV6 was turned ON at the AX-86U and in 'native' configuration. I recall having a similar issue once before. I think Comcast has issues handling IPV6 and TBH, I don't see a real need for it at this point. To answer your questions....YES...I provisioned the modem successfully.. (Xfinity...

    AX-86U and IPV6 with Xfinity???

I do think Comcast in area has an issue with IPV6. I recall having this issue before and there is no real need for IPV6, at this point. As of this morning...my service has been rock solid. This is output of spdMerlin on the AX-86U.

    AX-86U and IPV6 with Xfinity???

Greetings all, After racking my brain for the past few weeks as to WHY my speed dropped from 800-900 to 500-600. I even went out and got a new Modem (Arris S33). I found out that my AX-86U (on Merlin 388.1), had IPV6 enabled. I turned it off and it's working correctly. (Getting...

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

IT's FIXED!!!! Getting 1000 to 1200 Mbps now at router. After being on the phone with Xfinity/Comcast this morning, I was getting very frustrated. In troubleshooting with Xfinity, they rebooted my Arris S33 a few times and said it all looked good from their side. (I had to...

    Asus AX86U - firmware 386

I am on 388.1 and I thought it was working ok. I started to notice my WAN speed dropped from a fairly consistent 800-900Mbps, down to 500-600 Mbps. I have Xfinity 1200Mbps service. Scratching my head on this for a few weeks, I even went out and got a new Modem (Arris S33), that is...

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

Actually, you can logon to your SB8200 and turn on the WAN Link Aggregation. Fairly straight-forward. And I don't think it has anything to do with the ISP. Basically, it's Hardware Aggregation on the Modem. Keep in mind that your Router has to support it, which in my case the RT-AX86U...

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

Ok...so here's my update. - Successfully Set up Wan Link Aggregation on my SB8200 and ASUS RT-AX86U.--- Fairly easy to do...and No change in speed at router - Bit-the-bullet and purchased an Arris S33, activated it , and Surprise-Surprise ----No Change. **Yes, I restarted it a few times...

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

So I see that you also have the RT-AX88U as your router. From what I read, WAN aggregation is an option on the router AND the SB8200. With Xfinity only giving me 500-600 (occasionally 800) down, and them telling me that I need to replace my modem to get 1G or over, I was thinking of setting...

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

Understood. That's what I was saying ...I WAS getting 800-900+, then all of a sudden getting 500-600. Also seeing on Reddit and other places that people are complaining about drop-offs in speed with the SB8200 with xfinity. Per the Xfinity device site....

Time to replace SB8200 - Comcast??

Greetings All, The past few months I've been seeing that i haven't been getting the DL speeds at my router (RT-AX86U - ASUSWRT-Merlin v388.1 running spdMerlin). I have the 1200mbs service and used to get 800-900+ down pretty consistently, and now I'm seeing 400-600 mbps. After doing some...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.3 is now available

Didn't upgrade YET.. (Waiting for 'quite' time....) I suspect I'll have no issues as Merlin builds ROCK!!. Quick Question.... I also have a 68U that I'm only using as a mesh node. To date, I haven't put any Merlin build on it (only ASUS Builds) and it and the Mesh, have been working...

    Schedule/automate Speedtest from Router

Greetings, In my ever on-going complaints with Comcast, I want to see if there is a way to automate the speedtest (and capturing of the data) from the router. I was looking to try and use the logic/code that was already in place, but don't think that's gonna be possible. I have (or at...

Hi All, I'm having an on-going issues with Comcast, where I see alot of packet loss and speed dropouts every evening. I have the RT-AX86U and perform the speedtests from the router and wanted to see if there is a way to grab the results. I searched around the filesystem of the router (via...
