It seems to be a problem with MAC clone function. After a soft or hardware reboot, the cloned MAC is not applied even it's still there. I have to manually copy, paste and hit Apply to kick in. Annoying if you're out of town and the router reboots. :)
The strange thing was that my MAC address was the only lost thing, the other settings where just fine. I guess I should call it a bad day and that's it. :)
After a power failure, my RT-N66U lost its manually set WAN MAC address and started with the hardware default one. Since i wasn't home, it was a problem. :)
I thought the MAC address is written in NVRAM, but it was the only lost settings, so I guess it is not.
Does anyone has problems with WAN speed? I have them on E4200 and I upgraded to N66U, hopping they will go away due to superior hardware. However, the same issue appears: as soon as the download WAN speed reaches 70-80Mbps, the router starts to chocke. Current transfers work fine, but it does...
Are there any knows issues with Port Triggering? I use this option only for IRC ident and the same rule that I used on different routers in the past years (6666-7000 TCP out -> 113 UDP in) doesn't work. Same issues with both ASUSWRT and Merlin build.
