Buying advice for AX-router with Merlin-support

Purchased a used, acceptable GT-AX6000 off of Amazon for $195. Came with everything including box. Was as close to brand new as possible. Flashed with Merlin and works perfectly. YMMV, but thought it was a very good deal. It's my main router in a AiMesh config with an AX86U and AX3000 as nodes.

[SOLVED] Help! Cannot connect AC68U to my AC86U as aimesh node

Just a note to expand on the hints contained here. I have a one master, four node AiMesh network using all RT-68U's. I had a problem whereby when I lose power to the house, I have to totally reset all nodes from scratch. Never quite solved that problem, but I put a UPS on the master so hopefully...

    AiMesh and power failures

Thanks guys for the suggestions, California is in a weird power situation due to government and utility mismanagement. Believe it or not, I'm in Silicon Valley and have had six relatively local power outages over the last six months, all lasting hours and up to a day. Now, we are going to face...

    AiMesh and power failures

Hi All, Anyone else have the same problem? I am running an AiMesh configuration with four AiMesh nodes. All my units are RT-68U devices. I've had this problem with all the software releases, and now am running 3.0.0.4.384.45717. All units except one are using Ethernet backhaul. System works...

    ASUS AiMesh Reviewed

I decided to give the AIMesh primarily because I had roaming issues with several of my devices around my house. Was using 3 individual 68U's as AP's and a 68U as my main router. I switched to AIMesh about two weeks ago by update the SW on all my routers and deploying. Has worked flawlessly for...

have any body heard of this model. Asus RT-AC68A

I finally gave up on my Amazon order. Given that the T-Mobile AC1900 unit is still selling for $99, I got tired of waiting and did not seem worth the hassle. Flashing AC1900 was a pain, but still doable. Anyone interested in the T-Mobile unit the link...

have any body heard of this model. Asus RT-AC68A

When I first was given the delayed in shipping answer from Amzaon, I wrote to Asus customer support. Here is the answer I received: Hello xxxx, Thank you for taking time reaching out to ASUS - North America Escalations team. I reviewed your case and I found out that you are requesting for the...

have any body heard of this model. Asus RT-AC68A

I wrote to Asus about this as I ordered on Amazon and they could not tell me a thing other than no info about the product or fulfillment date. Asus was kind enough to write me back and say the product is identical to RT-AC68U and will be made available to Amazon on 4/18. Got it when the order...

Streaming issues with ASUS AC66u and WD TV Live

Hey Ryan, sorry you had to return your WDTV Live. For me, it's still the most economical, and useful streaming device I have. I stream Bluray rips from my Windows Home Server 2011 box to multiple WDTV live devices I have around the house and I have never had any feed interruption issues. Not...
