    Missing AiCloud Functionality

Sorry if I am asking an obvious thing but did you actually do what the welcome screen tells you to do: "Please select a device from the device list on the left to start using AiCloud"? Because what I remember from using AiCloud (don't use it anymore) the file options appear when you select a...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

No. Don't touch 60K firmwares. Just flash the 64k version, it should run just fine.

    Ftp?

    I second that.

    Question regarding memory utilisation.

I also noticed this behavior. After 5 days of running v 220 my RT-N66u went down to 88 MB free memory but then jumped up to 172. So it seems it uses some heavy caching but releases it every now and then. FWIW I don't use download manager (haven't installed) but run vpn pptp, ftp and media...

    RTN66U 5GHz - Whats your transfer speed?

Hi, With Shibby's 097 AIO I am getting (after some tweaking in Advanced tab) ~135 Mbits dowlnoad and 88 Mbits upload. How do you test your speeds? To reliably test the wifi connection one of the clients must be connected by wire. Here's a good read :) ...

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for clarification.

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

Well, obviously I can't comment on your results with Toastman's or Shibby's builds but please don't spread misinformation. Toastman's build uses 138.9 driver whereas Shibby has 138.20 which is the most up to date Broadcom driver taken from Asus stock firmware. Now, I guess we can both agree that...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

I only tried them for 5Ghz band. I set it to N only and 40 Mhz in Basic settings. Then, in Advanced section I changed: APSD Mode -> diasabled 802.11n Preamble -> Green Field Frame Burst -> Enable Interference Mitigation -> wlan auto (this one has probably very little influence on speed...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

That's strange as most people find the newest 138.20 driver much better. After a a few tweaks in Advanced settings I am actually getting with Shibby 097 64K slightly better wifi speeds then I get from Asus firmware: ~135 Mbits on average and ~150 in peaks on 5Ghz band with a large file transfer.

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

Well, TOR is new... if someone needs it... As for the wifi driver, Shibby uses 5.100.138.20 and Toastman 5.100.138.9, which is older AFAIK.

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

RMerlin, First off, thanks for an awesome work you are doing with your custom firmware! Just flashed your build RM12 beta over RM10. So far seems to be working great. Samba speeds improved a bit. However, I notice a drop in RSSI strengh of about 8dBm compared to your RM10 build (before...

    RT-N66U, another beta firmware: 3.0.0.3_155

I was also asking myself the same question the other day and experimented a bit with antenna placement. I couldn't believe how much difference it could make! The difference in RSSI between the worst and the most effective position was over 10dBm! Actually, in my case, putting them in 3 different...
