What do you guys think about the RT-AX55? Its a newer model, supports AiMesh, and about the same price as the AC68U. Would it perform better than the AC68U even if I don't have AX clients?

If the firmware was that different wouldn't they build and release it on its own channel? The AC66U_B1 isn't bundled together with the older AC66U.

Did you have to install it manually? My router is still showing 3.0.0.4.385.20632 as the latest firmware when I check in the web UI.

Any feedback on the performance & stability of this firmware? I'm still on 20490, which has been pretty solid.
