newbie losing mind: asus rt-68cu locked me out of GUI

really frustrated. any help appreciate. I have an asus rt-68cu. most recent firmware. I changed my password for wireless and and now I get this message on GUI (chrome) (win 10): "settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh. Changes have been made to the IP address or port number...
