    Local DNS Server + WebGUI? When?

    dnsmasq is automatically installed and configured to some extent by the webui. For example, adding manually assigned entries in the DHCP Server tab also adds their hostnames to local DNS. If you need more configuration over dnsmasq, see the Custom config files part of RMerlin's documentation...

    InSSider alternative for MacOS

    Depends on how much you need. If I just need to see what's on different channels around me, I just go to http://tools.meraki.com/stumbler in my browser (needs Java). There's also iStumbler. Use the beta builds at http://istumbler.net/beta/index.html.

    DNSmasq is not attaching domain name to hostnames

    Good thing they fixed it. I found a workaround when I was running the older versions of the ASUS firmware. Here's what I did, if for whatever reason anyone is still running it. I read through the ASUS dnsmasq code and found that manually setting wan_domain in the nvram will populate the domain=...

    RT N66U firm. 3.0.0.3_151

    Problem with static DNS I have a static IP WAN connection and I'm having problems with DNS with .151. Lookups don't work at all. I telneted in and it looks like my DNS servers aren't getting populated into /tmp/resolv.conf. The file exists but is empty.
