I was concerned about this too before I bought mine but bought it anyway. With a basic speedtest I routinely get 4ms ping with W-Fi 6 devices, 3ms with Wi-Fi 7 devices, and 0.8ms wired, regardless of original stock firmware, recent official firmware, or merlin.

That's what I've been doing, all of these issues persisted on my IoT 2.4GHz-only network. Of everything I tried, only disabling Wi-Fi 7 seems to have partially fixed the issue. Though I can't rule out some of my other changes helped. Now that everything is connected I was able to turn Wi-Fi 7...

Thanks I'll try that. I factory reset my devices though so I'd think they shouldn't care about the subnet? I'm in the US. My devices have been factory reset and will connect to a factory reset TP-link, but will not connect to my factory reset RT-BE88U

If you're worried about malware, factory reset using your preferred method, update firmware or reinstall, factory reset again.

To me that's still looking like the bug is using lower bands for download and higher for upload. That looks suspiciously like 2.4GHz/up 5 or 6GHz down
