My sources at Comcast said they would be rolling DOCSIS 4 out later this year. I just got my DOCSIS 3.1 (2.5 Gb) running properly. Everything with Comcast has growing pains. Everything is pain, all the time. The Tech advised to maybe wait for DOCSIS 4 rather than buy a new DOCSIS 3.1. His advice was based on economics. GT-AX1000 2.5g port
As I, feeling like an idiot, changed the Dual WAN to yes, and found the way to make 2.5 the WAN primary, I am finally getting almost all my ISP advertised speed. Although now my brand new computer with a 2.5 has to plug into a 1G port on the router. Can you offer any advice on bonding channels...- Punch Cards

Thank you very much. I just assumed that I must use a Dual LAN to use 2.5Gbps. I am going to try this as soon as I can get my wife to give me some time to experiment. She plays too many games and watches too much TV.- Punch Cards

GT-AX1000 2.5g port
I have had no luck using the 2.5Gbps port on the WAN side. Only local LAN devices ever connect, like my desktop with a 2.5 Gbps NIC. What am I doing wrong? I have Comcast 2.5 service. Did I just answer my own question?- Punch Cards
