    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Just to update all the helpful people here, the router fell over harder than a fatman on a skateboard over night with the merlin .19 build. So hard it infact went back to reset screen. So I followed the advice of reflashing with Asus stock and slowly built things back in over the last 24hrs. I...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Thanks Colin I'll add that to my list of things to try before I reflash stock and report back. Though the passwords are all new but I'll disable all the other bits. Cheers Rab

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Thanks for your help and advice. On another note I have managed to mac filter out the intruding device and the authentication deauthentication requests have ceased in the log (but just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's gone). A reflash wil take me longer than I have available...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

OK will do, I'll let it tick over till the out of memory start to show up again and repost. Thanks for your support. I don't suppose you have any thoughts as to why a neighbours open router keeps on popping up as being authorise, associated and deassociated?

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

For some reason it didn't attach, to big maybe? I shall snip the transitions between reboots Oct 4 01:10:20 wlceventd: WLCEVENTD wlceventd_proc_event(500): eth5: Auth 38:A6:CE:60:47:B6, status: Successful (0) Oct 4 01:10:20 wlceventd: WLCEVENTD wlceventd_proc_event(529): eth5: Assoc...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Sadly I am back where I was before rolling back to .16 The router stayed up for about two hours, then rebooted itself at about one in the morning. Looking at the time of the last entry and the next uptime there was about an hour gap while I presume it was unresponsive. It seems to have restarted...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

I have now factory reset again and reflashed and the reformatted the jffs (now showing 47mb). I have fixed channels well away from anything else. The smart connect is off and I am on n and mc mixed on one and legacy on the other well away from any other broadcasting device. Beam forming and...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Hi Bbunge Apologies I gave you poorly worded information. I didfactory reset when I went back to .16, but I didn't explicitly reformat the jffs thinking the reset would kill it. Mine reads at 2.59/48mb but I will do as you suggest with another factory reset level install and a reflash to .19...

    Problems with my RT-AC86U

Hi Everybody Apologies if I breach any etiquette in this post as I am new to the forum, though I have been reading it over the years I am having issues with my AC86 which has previously been relatively faultless over the last 2 years. I had been running a MESH with an AC86 with a RT-AC68U as...
