    N66U Can't connect to 5GHz

    The same here with me. Sometimes the 5G network simply disappears from the air and my phone reconnects to the (slower) 2.4G network. I went back to fw 3.0.0.4.380_3264 for that reason. No issues since the last 24 hours and the 5G speed seems to be fine.

    Testing routers

    In the Router Charts there used to be a tab for "Performance vs Location" with a very useful graph. I wonder why it has gone and if there is another way to compare the wireless performance of routers in different locations.

    RT-N66 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.374.4561

    I fully agree with sm00thpapa. If range is most important to you use firmware .276 with 2.4 Ghz and 20 Mhz bandwith. Also use fixed channel 1, 6 or 11 (in my case 6 is the best).
