3.0.0.4.279.26 - How to delete ebtables rule?

3.0.0.4.270.26 - How to delete ebtables rule? Hello! I've set up a ASUS N66U with Guest Network enabled and need to delete the default ebtables rule that is set up by the firmware, so that I can set up a new one to prevent guest users from reaching remote computers over vpn. I've tested...

Understanding the Guest Network (iptables and ebtables)

Hello! I have set up a guest network and I am in need of hardening its security, that means learn how it works to fix the issues. As for now, I've seen that "Intranet disabled" means dropping forwards on layer 2 with ebtables. What I do not get is why PING/DNS/DHCP/FORWARDING works but when I...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.25 is out

I'm running tinc for my mesh vpn, there is no option to it. Since I get the same throughput with a H.264 file with lzo (compared to uncompressed connection), I can be sure tinc is not blindly compressing packets. I figure they simply did not bother to give you an option that can only hurt your...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.25 is out

Thanks for the reply. I just ran some tests tonight and lzo seems to be the culprit. When using lzo, I can achieve 19 Mbit/s decoding and 17 Mbit/s encoding when using iperf. If I tell iperf to send a H.264 testfile instead of its data, rates drop to 13 Mbit/s on both directions. Exactly the...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.270.25 is out

22 Mbit/s with AES is quite good! I've installed tinc thru entware and can only transmit 13 Mbit/s even thought it uses a less complex cipher that benchmarks higher than AES with OpenSSL. Could you integrate the tinc binary with the next versions of your firmware so that it could benefit from...

    VLANs for LAN ports

I was successful to set up vlans with the robocfg command in /jffs/scripts/services-start. Never tried to create new vlans but this could work: robocfg show robocfg vlan 1 ports "1 3 4 8t" robocfg vlan 2 ports "0 8t" robocfg vlan 3 ports "2 8t" robocfg show vconfig add eth0 3 ifconfig vlan3 up
