you know, over the 2 years I've had this router.. I have to say, somethings has been 'very weird' and took me quite sometime to figure out.
Recently about a month ago, I noticed for some random reason, throughout the day, my wifi latency on the 2.4ghz ( 5ghz was impacted too, just not as...
I wanted to add my issues with this latest firmware as well. However, in my case, it is the 2.4ghz causing issues.
Ever since latest firmware, after operating for about a day, my 2.4ghz clients would lose connection, or the 'latency' to the router itself through the 2.4ghz wifi backbone becomes...
kind of strange, but did they pull the firmware from their website?

From setting a static channel, it seemed to have got my wifi 2.4 without disconnect for last 3 days.
But I am not entirely sure yet if auto channel is the one causing issues.
But for sure auto channeling in June firmware was working.
I reached out to Asus support and opened a support case and...
It is pure vanilla.
I have zero customizations and kept it this way for testing. Pure out of box factory reset settings, didn't change a single thing on 2.4
I am still having issues with this firmware. I still don't know why my 2.4ghz just stops working. The past 2 firmware releases has been like this for me. I can only run rock stable on the june release firmware. I did factory reset ( hard method ) but made no difference for me...
since the past 2 released firmwares, my 2.4ghz stops working. Even with this latest october release same thing. my 2.4ghz loses connectivity, and just stops working. I cannot even ping the router IP on anything that 'shows connected to 2.4ghz'. For any new device trying to join 2.4ghz, access...
I am still having 2.4 random disconnect with this.
Ever since the august firmware I have had issues. Rolled back to June release and everything is rock solid.
I don't understand why my 2.4ghz and only that frequency ends up dropping and devices can't reconnect to it.
I have tried factory...
100% it is the firmware.
I updated firmware, right after reboot of the router, 2.4ghz couldn't be connected.
I did factory reset, everything is back to normal. 1 day after, 2.4ghz connection could not be connected again. When my devices try to connect, it fails.
I rolled back my firmware...
funny, I have AX86u, installed this same version and my 2.4ghz kept losing connections like once or twice a day. My nest doorbell would lose connectivity for 10+ minutes but then will eventually reconnect.
Still haven't figured out whats causing it. I seperate 2.4ghz/5ghz access points too.
I...
So far has your 2.4ghz been stable so far? Its weird because I "thought" I redownloaded it as a zip and flashed it, but I was still having the 2.4ghz disconnects after 12-24 hours. The first time I flashed, was also through automatic update/browser.
So I am experiencing problems with this 3.0.0.4.386_45375 firmware.
Right after updating firmware, I could not connect to 2.4ghz ( 5.0ghz was fine ).
I did a factory reset, everything was good for about a day, and then once again 2.4ghz goes down. If I wait like 5 minutes or so, it would come...
The problem is with Rogers, not your ax86u.
Check rogers community forums and you will see many others including myself suffering from intermittent disconnects.
