    syslog on jffs

Building upon the "mount /jffs read/only" idea. Hi Everyone, As requested in another thread, I'm building on user2k10's idea to mount the /jffs partition read/only. I really liked the idea of preserving the flash memory on my RT-AC68U, but I also like the idea of preserving long-term syslog...

Where is the ASUS RT-AC68U storing all it's logs?

In that thread, someone came up with a great idea to simply remount /jffs as read-only in the init-start script. Works well for me. Here is the link. I took it a step further by adding a command to my post-mount script that then mounts /jffs to a folder on my usb drive.

    syslog on jffs

Mount /jffs to USB drive? Apologies if I am resurrecting an dead thread, but wouldn't it be possible to unmount /jffs and remount it to a USB drive? Something like: umount /jffs mount -o rbind /mnt/USB/my_jffs /jffs This seems to work manually but not from...

Thank You. The pit-stop has become the destination.

Hello, I've been running Merlin's firmware for about nine months now, and I would just like to say thank you for all of your efforts. Initally, Merlin's was just a temporary step on my way to DD-WRT which I've used in the past. I decided however, to come back to Merlin's because it offers...
