    Powerline G.hn vs AV2 discussions

A quick update on this topic of mine, my test have me kept the D-Link AV2 2000 from the picture above, the one which gave me the best results. Today I was able to get my hands on G.hn devices (which may be hard to get in Canada) and as a bonus, which I was also looking for with AV2 but couldn't...

Problems with gaming whilst another user is downloading a large file

Same issue here after recently installing an AV2 adapter. When my son download over AV2 it impact us all. I have an ASUS RT-AC1900P router but never enabled QoS as I want to avoid saying yes to Trend Micro licence. Would FlexQoS solve this issue? What is SNP?

    Powerline G.hn vs AV2 discussions

Sad because of this there is hardly any comparison to find online. I was tired of reading reviews here and there about all the current AV2 offers and decided yesterday to buy 4 different packs and test them all and will only keep the best performer. I only wish I had a G.hn available too but...

    Powerline G.hn vs AV2 discussions

Now that my both my sons have a computer but no ethernet cable in the walls and WiFi is not optimal in their room, I was looking at poweline adapters. It's at that moment I've leanred about the new G.hn specification which seems to be an improvement over AV2 but strangely enough this...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

I'm still on 386.1_2 without any QoS and with such results I guess I don't need to look at enabling any.

    [Alpha] 386.2

I'm not running this Alpha but I'm curious for the next public version, I've added a few of my own icons I carefully made for my peripherals, how they deal with this?

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Thanks, I knew I've read about this somewhere thus what I was saying and was not under panic... ;-) Those who are impatient and panic and restart while db is in the works, that may be a cause a of problems later.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Just went from 384.19 to 386.1_2 and briefly saw the GUI showing new version but now the GUI won't load. All devices work. Maybe because too busy to update the db? I don't want to power it off now in case its working hard at something.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Geesh huge bump! Is it possible that it is currently working on adjustiung itself or something? Are CPUs loaded? Have you checked what TOP command shows? Maybe in a few hours it will settle down...

I thought you didn't want to do more of this and keep it simple?

What would be a good extender for RT-AC1900U?

I found a spot where I could possibily install it if only there was a power outlet there... I think it will become a project of doing this.
