Wifi scale works with AC66U_B1 not with AC86U

Unfortunately I didn't try the two ac66u_b1's in aimesh mode this time; I did use the two of them in aimesh mode a long time ago, and I don't recall having seen issues like this then. But I gave up on aimesh 1.0 when it did not provide the guest network on the aimesh node, and went to the...

Wifi scale works with AC66U_B1 not with AC86U

Thanks. It now seems like doing anything that restarts wifi - Applying changes after enabling/disabling Roaming Assistant or Universal Beamforming, etc or rebooting the router after making no changes at all, all allow the scale to connect for a while, but then in the morning its back to not...

Wifi scale works with AC66U_B1 not with AC86U

Thanks. Airtime Fairness was disabled, and I disabled Universal (Implicit) Beamforming on 2.4 GHz, Explicit Beamforming is still enabled. I tried the scale once last night and it appeared to connect and work. But this morning it is back to not working (same syslog messages showing does not seem...

Thanks, but I'm still on 384.19, haven't moved to 386 beta yet.

Wifi scale works with AC66U_B1 not with AC86U

I have a wifi scale (Weight Gurus model 0396, 2.4 GHz only) that worked fine for years with my AC66U_B1 when it was my primary router. I just switched to using a new AC86U as the primary router, same SSIDs/passwords/etc, running Merlin 384.19 and AiMesh, and now use the AC66U_B1 as an AiMesh...

Any way to reboot a remote router when reboot is not rebooting it?

I finally noticed something in my original post that allowed me to answer my own question - SysRq https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key specifically I was able to ssh in and reboot the router by running echo b > /proc/sysrq-trigger

Any way to reboot a remote router when reboot is not rebooting it?

Good idea, thanks. I used to have a similar device that I would use to reboot my HTPC when I couldn't access it remotely.

Any way to reboot a remote router when reboot is not rebooting it?

I don't have access to the GUI to do that anymore. Is there a command that the GUI runs to do that? I'd be interested in trying that to see if it helps, but in the command that was blocked "cp /tmp/syslog.log /tmp/syslog.log-1 /jffs" I didn't see anything that would be using the USB drive.

Any way to reboot a remote router when reboot is not rebooting it?

Sorry I didn't mention that I had tried that, but unfortunately the processes don't die and go away with "kill" or "kill -9"; think it's because they are in the "D" state waiting for disk io.

Any way to reboot a remote router when reboot is not rebooting it?

I have an RT-AC66U_B1 (384.15) router in a remote location - i.e. no one is there to power cycle it. My devices in that location can connect to the router, but they can't get out to the internet anymore. I cannot connect to the router thru https anymore (even if I could I doubt the reboot button...

@talon_262 @Dave_90 (@Anyone else trying this out?) Any issues so far with using Merlin with AiMesh enabled? Bob

Adding another AC66U_B1 into AiMesh with AC66U_B1 + AC68U Fails

I have 2 RT-AC66U B1 H/W Ver.:B2 Version 3.00.4.384.45149, working fine with one as AiMesh router and the other as AiMesh node. If you logged into each router individually and updated the firmware to latest, double check that the B2 is still set to AiMesh Node mode. Bob
