That’s right. In the web UI it says the 5ghz-2 is currently used as a dedicated backhaul and to unhide the SSID to enable it for clients even though I have unhidden the band and set each node to Ethernet priority. It simply just ignores the fact that it’s being used as a normal band with its own...- RKG81

I see it is now available in my neighborhood in TBay. But it’s $115 so I won’t be upgrading. I just upgraded recently from 300 to 600. Not for the speed, since I was more than happy with 300 but I got a pretty good deal on 600 for $65 a month so I actually saved money upgrading. And as a bonus...- RKG81

I’m absolutely positive my XT8 showed a 160mhz checkbox option when I FIRST looked at the settings screen. Maybe check the drivers in the devices you’re using are up to date... has to be something wrong on your end. I haven’t had to think about wifi at all since getting this system. Gt-ax11000 as router + ZenWifi AX8 as nodes setup.
I prefer having separate SSIDs instead of letting smart connect decide for me... On the 2.4ghz SSID I connect all my smart home devices like light bulbs, smart outlets and switches, Printers, echo dots, thermostats etc... On the 5ghz-1 SSID I connect all my stationary high bandwidth devices...- RKG81

The roaming assist set aggressively works for me. Since I have a basestation in every room and the backyard, I always get a top quality connection. Gt-ax11000 as router + ZenWifi AX8 as nodes setup.
They will work fine in aimesh mode with the AX11000 as main router. Just go into the app and select the aimesh icon and it will search for a connected node. Since yours will be hard wired, it will detect them immediately and add them to the system. But be aware smart connect seems to slow...- RKG81
