I'm not questioning that. You shouldn't underestimate people who are looking for help. I was able to fix the problem without having to reset to factory settings. And I don't like simple sentences like, "You should read the descriptions first" or "I don't know which add-ons you're running"...
Yes, I've become more aware of that now (because of reading).....
This is the error message that appeared:
Dec 11 2025 00:00:55 RT-BE88U-30E0 BACKUPMON[30762] - **ERROR**: Unable to mount to external network drive. Please check your configuration!
A new F/W update is displayed in the Merlin Dashboard. However, I have activated Auro Update Merlin AU.I assume that version 3006.102.6.0 is the new firmware for Asus and has nothing to do with Merlin.Am I wrong in this assumption?
I received the following message in my email:
"WARNING
Backup failed during the F/W Update process to version 3006.102.6.0 on the RT-BE88U router.
Flashing the F/W Update on the RT-BE88U router is now canceled.
Please check backupmon.sh configuration and retry F/W Update from current version...
I have set up Asus Merlin and configured automatic updates for Merlin via add-ons.
My RT-BE88U router displays a notification for a general software update.
Can anyone tell me how to disable the update notification?
And what is the function under amtm? There is a function that you can install to have Merlin automatically install updates when they become available.
I have been using it since I first installed Merlin.
