    No issues here either. All pretty standard: Ai on, wired mesh to AX86S, 2.5GB to desktop. GUI has no lag at all (HTTPS)

    Me too, but with an AC86U! Strangely enough, it came alive again when I removed it from the WAN and (wired) AiMesh, connecting direct to laptop. When I re-connected it, everything was OK! No reset or anything fancy, just took offline and back on again.... Edit....there was nothing to kick...

    As an aside to this discussion...if one had an RT-AX86U as the primary WAN device, what would the most cost-effective current-generation wired mesh device (to add, say two remote 1GB ports and an extension to the AX coverage)? My head hurts looking at the specs of the AX device range. Thanks!

    Quite frankly, I don’t know! I had only just bought the router the day before the current release….and had only just set it up with the beta. The only settings that I had touched were the user and provider login, plus the wifi. It was a clean slate setup.

    Excellent, found it thanks. However, it seems that the app has no facility for some form of PIN code - heaven help me if a grandchild was using the phone and opened the app!

    Ah, thanks for that. I seem to recall that I dropped the app some years ago, over concerns relating to WAN access and DDNS - I may have to revisit that decision.

    After update, my Idle Timeout was pre-set at 10 minutes. Can anyone please point me at the 'new device connect notification'? Maybe I can now get rid of my Fing box?

    Thanks VANT - that sounds right. I’ll check when I get back home….but I can‘t survive with these dropouts. I just need to find a cost-effective replacement that I can trust. I have HFC and wired a pair of 86Us that are great when it is working!

    Same here - it is driving me crazy. Sadly, I am away from home at present - so have no access to cameras and blind control. I am at the stage of dropping the 86U and hoping for better reliability from…AX86U but the cost is scary at present….maybe AX92U? I have research to do.
