    Curious about UniFi UDM-Pro

Was wondering why no one here is talking about UniFi Dream Machine Pro? Also will it be reviewed here? Seems like a real nice high end home router at the same price point of Cisco RV's. -Rob

LAN sluggish to nothing only with router

The quick and easy check would be set a static IP and DNS. It sounds like a DNS server problem of some kind. I would try 4.2.2.2 for a DNS server assuming your in the US. Have your tried pinging google.com and what are your ping results? I prefer to start troubleshooting with the quick and...

    Looking for a Router

No doubt but it's the difference between known vs unknown and I'd prefer unknown vulnerabilities lol. It's really a race for time if you think about it. I don't mind on internal routers and switches but for an internet facing devices really need it to be on latest and pray. I'm really liking...

    Looking for a Router

The problem with down revving is you are opening up known security vulnerabilities and I had already done that once with the RV325 no luck. Got the CRS up and configured seemed fairly straight forward. Everything is humming right along as it should so quite happy. Damm good bang for the buck...

    Looking for a Router

Don't believe (/fingers crossed) it will be a problem my network stays pretty static once setup it's out of sight out of mind. I keep everything updated to the latest software afraid of security holes but aside from that I don't change things much at all. Also try and keep everything as simple...

    Looking for a Router

No worries it's an Internet thing. I have already order the CRS125 should be here by Thursday and interested in learning a new OS the winbox looks really slick. Was looking for a single device that can hand the switching and routing because the box I have to stick it in is really tight. I...

    Looking for a Router

And it's embarrassing for me why? What makes you believe you even could? Look I was simply asking for cheaper network hardware that would meet my needs that I perhaps was unaware of and others (not you) helped. And my network has been well designed and works wonderfully with the exception of...

    Looking for a Router

There is no way to get rid of the 7 switches each support TV's (5), home office and 40tb media server. Figure each TV has an Xbox, Roku and internet enable bluray player. The Xbox's require UPnP in order to work properly and even when I manually add in Port Address Translation table the RV325...

    Looking for a Router

Okay last question promise lol. Which one is better/faster with NAT? And you mentioned RouterOS 7 is that something that I would have to purchase or it a free download? And when should it be released? Thanks again!

    Looking for a Router

Ah okay and the CRS 2xx has the better switch chip then correct? I ask because I'm trying to decide between the 2 the price difference isn't that great. I don't care about 10G for a home network or the extra SFP so wondering if there is anything else I'd be missing. Thanks for all your help btw.

    Looking for a Router

That was the part that confused me the more expensive and higher router seems to have a slower processor and less ram?

    Looking for a Router

I highly doubt I will have a need for SFP's does the CRS226 have a more powerful processor? Is there going to be a new model coming out soon as in few months? I can hold off on the purchase if a newer better model will be releasing soon it's more annoying at the moment then a show stopper.

    Looking for a Router

When you say it isn't fast do you mean that I would notice it? The home network is a flat single vlan with routing capped @68mbs to the internet with the most challenging thing would be streaming 4k Dolby Vision which uses approximately 25mbs max sustained. I really can't see any benefit for...
