    I am not saying others not gets 1Gbps it is just that an rt-ac87u is showing 1Gbps and if i then plug that cable on the 3200 it shows 100Mbps.     I do not care about AiMesh, but to get my WAN port to be 1Gbps not 100Mbps is nr.1 prirority.

    I have ubiquiti switches as shown here plus an 3Com Baseline switch wich has 1Gbps and 10Gbps on all ports. If i then plug the cables to another clients it shows 1Gbps.     I have tried different cables all is eighter cat5e or cat6 but 100Mbps is always showing. The switches is between 1Gbps to 10Gbps I have an rt-ac3200 and have been resetting to factory settings. Firmware is Merlin 384.6 as i guess this is the latest

    To use wifi is like charging the phone twise a day, i think this is more a huge issue then not allowing third party firmware.

    Cisco own also snort and they who knows about snort knows it is a security solution company;) Anyway i have them both enabled (rt-3200) but use snort ids/ips solution along with e2guardian/squid/privoxy.
