RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

At this point I don't want to turn anything on or off or mess with it in any way. In the future I'm going to restrict my ASUS purchases to motherboards and GPU's, and leave the networking equipment to others.

RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

Here are my current working port forwarding settings:

RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

I don't see anything there other than the column headers (even after refershing): Source Destination Proto. Port range Redirect to Local port

RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

I have not set any other rules but the port seems to be open now. If I enable port forwarding and recheck the port it goes back to "closed".

RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

Yeah, the WAN IP matches. I got it working by turning port forwarding off. Yep, my problem was that I had port forwarding turned on. Once I turned it off (as shown in screenshot) it started working. Go figure.

RT-AC68U port forwarding just won't work

I've been trying to get port forwarding to work for a couple days now without any luck. Note: I use custom DNS settings but no VPN stuff on the router or my laptop. Router: RT-AC68U running latest ASUS firmware 3.0.0.4.386_40558-gc48f410. DHCP reservation (only for my laptop: 192.168.1.21)...

What do I need to complete this network?

I am confused as to how a bridge can affect how far the signal goes. Isn't that all up to the antenna?

What do I need to complete this network?

One more thing: when I get a chance, I'll snap a photo of both antennae to give a better view of the equipment being used.

What do I need to complete this network?

Thanks for all the help. I guess I should make it clear that the current 10+ year old setup worked perfectly for years until very recently when the Aironet BR2040-EE was removed. Both the cantenna and receiving antenna are exactly where they've been for the last dozen years or so. The former...

What do I need to complete this network?

Thanks for the info. I just found out that the equipment used by the previous owner was Aironet BR2040-EE used in conjunction with the 2 existing antennae. I can have it if I want it. I'm told it's a good 10 years old. What should I do?

What do I need to complete this network?

Please note: the schematic I drew incorrectly lists the distance as 1 mile. I should be 3.5 miles. I will try and correct it.

What do I need to complete this network?

Thanks for the input, but none of my questions were addressed... About the antennae; they were used by the previous owner but left behind (the electronics are all gone). Both antennae are in impossible (for me) to reach high places, so I will (hopefully) not be touching them. I simply need to...

What do I need to complete this network?

I am trying to finish someone else's work. The job is to provide an Internet connection to an island property that is about 1 mile off-shore. There are no devices on the transmitting side of this network; all devices are on the receiving (island) side. I am unsure about whether I need...
