There are no other forwarding rules so there isn't anything else to duplicate. I will try using a higher number but seeing as DMZ didn't work either I have my doubts.
We did try assigning the cam to DMZ. No luck.
The WAN assigned IP is the same as what's my IP.
Also, don't forget I personally have the exact same service from the same ISP and live two miles away so I would think it's unlikely it's anything the ISP is doing.
I didn't want to complicate the...
I don't think so. I say that because I live in the same area and I have the same ISP (Spectrum). My port forwarding works fine. The only difference is I use my own modem and router whereas he has the Spectrum provided ones that I listed above. I'm thinking it's something to do with his router...
I'm trying to help a friend set up a simple IP camera. We had it setup and working at his old place but he just moved and can't get it working with the new ISP/Router.
What we are trying to do is port forward so that he can view his cam outside of his LAN. At his new place his ISP is Spectrum...
Well I'm back and have this computer in my hands. He has been running this without shutting it down since May with the exception of two weeks ago. He was out of town and shut it down. When he got back it took 72 hours to reconnect. But it did reconnect and worked fine afterwards. He is going out...
Is it possible to automatically delete files in a Shared Folder after a certain amount of days? I have a folder that gets security camera stills and video. I want that folder to delete any files older than X number of days. Can Task Scheduler be used with a script maybe? Can anyone think of a...
I have a Win 7 machine (Dell 660S) that when I go to testmy.net I get 39Mbps down and it's always been pretty rock solid in the past at around 115Mbps. I have a 100Mbps internet connection.
I started by testing all the usual things (new cable, different port, deleted/reinstalled driver). At...
All troubleshooting is on hold as he is very busy this week.
-Nope no system backup.
+He has a modem/router combo (spectrum).
+We have tried different LAN ports.
-Haven't tried a localhost ping.
+NIC has latest driver
+It is a TP-Link TG3468 brand new but gets the same results from his onboard...
Thx yes we tried to a manual address without luck. I wanted to avoid having him do a clean install because he's not sure where some of his program install disks are but he'll have to deal with that.
This is for a friend of mine that I was trying to help out. For a few weeks one of his desktop computers was taking longer and longer to recognize the LAN until the other day it just wouldn't. We did a few minor things (unplug power to router/modem, changed cables, verified connection lights...
