    Hi, I think I am going to take a new direction... I picked up a raspberry pi a while back... I'm going to install and configure dnsmasq on it to see if I can get that to work... If I can get that to work, I'll see if I can replicate my success onto the rtn16. Thanks all for your replies.

    Hi, I have also done the ipconfig /flushcache I forgot to mention that looked through the logs as well. There nothing that jumped out at me... i have cleared out everything, gone back to plain files, no *.add files now... still no local resolution. BTW, I also followed the thread on...

    Hi, I have reset DHCP clients several times with release/renew...; no joy. I have not had any issue with external name resolution/DNS until I added the domain name "net.home"... Then DNS for external names stopped working, and still no local DNS resolution. nslookup shows net.home...

    Hi, Thanks for the reply! I have all my machines set to DHCP, and I have reserved/static IPs for them. When I SSH into the router, the nslookup does not resolve local names either.

    Hi, I'm a first time user to asus-merlin. I am very happy I found it! Nice job! I have read the dnsmasq man, and searched on this forum and Google, tried numerous iterations of dnsmasq.conf.add, writing my own dnsmasq.conf; I have essentially exhausted my ability to get local DNS working...
