ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

There is no functional issue that warrants an upgrade. So no... I wouldn't want to upgrade for non-functional bugs.... avoid unnecessary e-waste

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

Yea I did... looked clean but I cleaned them anyway. All ports are giving the same error - so it was unlikely to be the case but worth a try anyway Tried multiple times, no luck. I tried older firmwares but still the same issue. Tried setting up as stand alone router... same issue. Feel like...

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

Ok so here's an update. This doesn't look like a GUI bug. Previous I didn't think to expand the Asus app port status. But here I can see that Asus app says the WAN and LAN1 are Green but connected at 0 Mbps. Then I swapped AX88U and AX92U. The issue follows AX92U. I updated firmware and...

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

I have a new but similar problem... posting in this same thread to avoid creating new discussion area. This time issue is somewhat different... but kind of similar topic As you can see in the attached screenshots... I have a 3-node AiMesh setup at home. It's a new setup, done today. As far as...

Guest WiFi Pro on GT-AX11000 Pro & RT-AX88U Mesh System

I'm not sure what you mean by same DHCP scheme But I can say that Guest network picked up a local IP that I was able to recognize

Guest WiFi Pro on GT-AX11000 Pro & RT-AX88U Mesh System

Well I seem to have solved the problem...sharing in case someone might find it helpful. Removed all Guest/IoT networks, only kept the MAIN SSID Removed AX88U from the mesh Added back in a Guest network This worked... I was able to see new Guest SSID broadcast and connect to it Added back...

Guest WiFi Pro on GT-AX11000 Pro & RT-AX88U Mesh System

Ahhh I see. Similar to what I suspected earlier. I don't believe beta firmware is available on AX88U, so this suggestion won't work for me

Guest WiFi Pro on GT-AX11000 Pro & RT-AX88U Mesh System

Yes it is enabled. It's weird that all setting and setup steps go without any issues. Guess Wi-Fi even looks enabled within the settings. But actual wifi broadcast isn't on...meaning no signals with guest wifi SSID.

Guest WiFi Pro on GT-AX11000 Pro & RT-AX88U Mesh System

My home network consists of the following under let's call it SSID "MAIN" 1) Primary Router GT-AX111000 Pro (latest firmware 3.0.0.6.102.34735) 2) Second RT-AX88U (original, not Pro on firmware 3.0.0.4.388_24221)... this is setup as AIMesh Node 3) Distant MOCA access point using Verizon FiOS...

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

The ISP support team came out today and replaced the ONT. Apparently it was way too outdated. All problems fixed. Speed test showing a good 500Mbps and Asus router happy too - showing Green WAN port now.

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

Just an update... contacted my ISP and they think it might be due to an older/outdated ONT model which limits the speed to around 50-60MB. They plan to come out and replace their ONT equipment. Let's see if that fixes the problem.

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

Two weeks ago, for a different issue related to 2.4Ghz band not turning on sometimes. I have post on that topic as well.

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

Fair enough, my lack of full education there. My old connection (using CAT 5e) was done professionally, so I hope cable termination was done appropriately. My new connection (using CAT 6) was done by myself. So entirely possible that I made mistakes. However, everything is working like it used...

ASUS RT-AX88U Router Is showing Ethernet Ports Notice under Network Map -> System Status -> Status

It's 60MBps which is still very low compared to my provider speed of 500MB.
