So I have something new to share...totally by accident.
I was setting up VPN Fusion with my parents home, using another Asus router. Using Wireguard protocol.
All I did was to apply VPN Fusion to all my home devices. And instantly my Kasa IoT devices on the guest network disconnected with the...
My IoT network is 2.4Ghz only...which is where my problems area. And it's enabled on all mesh nodes.
My main network is Triband and it has no problems.
For all my swapping and different ideas... I setup from scratch. I don't restore settings at all.
I'm able to replicate the problem by...
I see your point.
My IoT SSID is 2.4GHz only. But my main SSID is set to Triband Smart Connect.
And I only have a pair of ET12s...both running latest firmware.
My issue must be something to do with the firmware because:
1) I can get IoT to connect to the main router, but not with the node...
Seems to be something to do with WPA2/WPA3 Personal security setting.
When I set the security to WPA2/WPA3 Personal:
My Kasa devices can only connect to the main router and NOT to the AiMesh node.
When I set the security to WPA/WPA2 Personal:
My Kasa devices can connect to the main router and...
I think I got your suggested steps and ideas to work. I can confirm that Pi-Hole is blocking ads on my VLAN by connecting Raspberry Pi to VLAN WiFi SSID.
On Pi-Hole settings page, I changed DNS -- Interface Settings to "Permit all origins" which could be potentially dangerous.
Can someone...
Similar experience for me... especially on VLAN Guest Network or IoT network... on my Kasa IoT devices.
On 6.102 firmwares...my Kasa devices are not able to connect to VLANs 2.4GHz on AiMesh nodes. They seem to work fine on my main router.
Also everything works fine on my home network. Just...
Yea I did... looked clean but I cleaned them anyway. All ports are giving the same error - so it was unlikely to be the case but worth a try anyway
Tried multiple times, no luck.
I tried older firmwares but still the same issue.
Tried setting up as stand alone router... same issue.
Feel like...
Ok so here's an update. This doesn't look like a GUI bug.
Previous I didn't think to expand the Asus app port status. But here I can see that Asus app says the WAN and LAN1 are Green but connected at 0 Mbps.
Then I swapped AX88U and AX92U.
The issue follows AX92U.
I updated firmware and...
I have a new but similar problem... posting in this same thread to avoid creating new discussion area.
This time issue is somewhat different... but kind of similar topic
As you can see in the attached screenshots... I have a 3-node AiMesh setup at home. It's a new setup, done today. As far as...
Well I seem to have solved the problem...sharing in case someone might find it helpful.
Removed all Guest/IoT networks, only kept the MAIN SSID
Removed AX88U from the mesh
Added back in a Guest network
This worked... I was able to see new Guest SSID broadcast and connect to it
Added back...
