Is it reasonable to expect some difference in performance given the difference in design, like being vertical and 1 internal antennae? But I'm not sure if that means better or worse range/throughput tho :)

Well... maybe it's about the time to upgrade my AC68U. But I would probably go with R7800 since we're moving into a bigger home. Throughput at distance is the key.
