I upgraded from 3006.102.4 to 3006.102.6_beta1 hoping the issue from my original post would go away, but it didn’t. I tried some other things to figure it out, and your suggestion ended up solving it. I have an older printer, so I assigned it a static IP. The issue disappeared. Thanks.
@RMerlin – With the new security update, do we need to perform a factory reset when using your firmware? I noticed ASUS recommends this step for their stock firmware when this was introduced. Just wanted to ensure this is not the case with your firmware. Thanks.
I noticed that for the BE86U, the official ASUS firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_38984 came out after the current Merlin stable release (3006.102.5).
In the official ASUS notes, it says:
Does this mean we’ll need to do a full factory reset again once Merlin 3006.102.6 stable is released to...
Honestly, I’m not too surprised you’re seeing OpenAI traffic. Your site is basically the go-to hub for anyone dealing with ASUS router issues. More and more people (myself included) are asking ChatGPT instead of using Google when troubleshooting. I’ve noticed that sometimes it will reference or...
I have a BE86U router and I’m experiencing the same issue with the mission options under Wireless → Professional settings. After downgrading to firmware version 3006.102.4, the missing settings reappeared.
For what it's worth, after downgrading to 3006.102.4, I haven’t seen the issue anymore.
I also downgraded, because I'm experiencing this issue as well: Professional WiFi Settings Missing

@RMerlin, thanks for your reply.
I went ahead and withdrew from their EULA under Administrator → Policy.
This disabled AiProtection.
You were right. Once AiProtection was off, the annoying message disappeared.
I re-enabled AiProtection and accepted the EULA again.
As soon as I turn on any...

I've upgraded the firmware from the previous version and now I keep getting the message below. There's no other information or errors. Why is this happening? How can I troubleshoot and find out what's causing it? Thanks.

The wording in the changelog is confusing for me.
I took this to mean that if DNS Director is enabled, it will redirect to the Router's IP regardless of what is put on the DHCP -> DNS Server 1 page.
The changelog states that to redirect...

- CHANGED: Setting DNS Director to "Router" will now always
redirect to the router's own IP. Previously it
would redirect to the first DNS server configured
