FlexQoS Flexqos on asus router merlin question

Hi, I just got asus router ac66u-b1 and my buddy did flexqos on it. my question is what should be my manual bandwidth? My down is 500mb and 20 up. I heard it should be lower than 500 Thank you Newbie to network
