Hi, need some help on some settings, just recieved the RT-N66U b.1 router, planning on installing the forks update 374.43 as I believe gives the best wireless range as the house is quiet big.
Haven't used the router yet but as soon as I switch it on will I have to perform a factory reset first...
Is it worth me upgrading from 3.0.0.4.271 to the new 3.0.0.4.374.257 firmware.
I ain't having problems with the version I am on at the mo so thinking to leave it as it is...
Mine does the same too when I select the 272 file from the Asus website and extract the folder it shows the 271 file, I think this is how its supposed to be for some odd reason lol
Have you guys noticed that you cannot update to the latest firmware on start up as it takes you to the setup screen, I had to update to the latest firmware after I made the connection to the Internet.
I couldn't factory reset the EA-N66 as it was not letting me for some reason so I just did the setup again on the EA-N66, but this time on the PS3 I did auto on everything and it connected fine and download speed was showing 27mbps :D
I remember on wireless I was getting around 10mbps for...
I've factory reset the EA-N66 and will try again tomorrow as I've also noticed that a few of my devices i.e iPhone on 2.4GHz were having problems connecting to the Internet with it on.
Since I factory reset the EA-N66 the problems went away. This is so confusing lol
my router is updated to firmware version 3.0.0.4.272 and im using cat6 cables, however on the ea-n66 setup i did the upgrade to 1.0.1.8f after i made the connection with my 5GHz band, not sure if this might be the problem.
im getting the dns error on startup, at first it did connect and was playing multiplayer games without a prob but then when I switched off the ps3 and on again I got the dns error and says internet connection failed.
will reset the EA-N66 and connect again
my secondary dns is blank on the ps3...
mate do you leave your EA-N66 connected to the PS3 at all times, cos if I were to turn off the EA-N66 from the mains when I ain't using the PS3, next time I switch the EA-N66 back on will the PS3 remember the settings or will I have to go through setup again
Hi mate, so just to clarify that if I get the EA-N66 adapter all I would need to do is disconnect the EA-N66 adapter from my laptop after the connection is been made to the 5 GHz band during setup, take the EA-N66 to where my PS3 is and connect it via Ethernet cable to my PS3 and my PS3 will...
