AX86U Pro + 2x AX86S (wired backhaul) Only have about 20-30 clients on the Mesh Wifi network, no guest and fixed set of devices only. So the error does not really make sense. Only a pair of phones and iPads that moves in/out/around the wifi network.

Tbh, i was looking to see if it makes sense to upgrade any of my AX86 (Pro)s, but really, the only worthwhile upgrade would be the BE92. Wifi 7 without 6Ghz is really not a worthwhile upgrade. Yes, range will suck on 6Ghz, but, if you have a Mesh network in your home, less of an issue.

I had the same issues with 2.4/5 Ghz on AX86 (Pro), but wasn't able to figure it out. I just put Apple devices on 2.4Ghz only.

There is not a really good replacement for the AX86. There is the BE86, BUT ... missing the 6Ghz band. All current BE solutions are kind of underperforming. I am waiting for wave 2 of WiFi 7 devices.

Could be the surge strip had some filtering circuit that is not present in the UPS. And thus you are getting more noise from the electrical line. Power from the wall can be "polluted" with radio signals and interference from other devices in your home or even neighborhood.

What is too many clients? How can that happen? I only have 10-15 wireless client on 3 mesh nodes.

Tbh, the BE86U is a bit of a let down. Does not support 6Ghz. If you are coming from an AX86, only worth of note is MLO. Overall speed increase will be minimal otherwise. I'd rather wait for the BE86U Pro.

No. 3004.388 do not have and will not get VLAN/Guest Network Pro. Only 3006 and that is 86U Pro only and still in beta.
