Need advice on setup involving a rt-be92u and others..

Project is up and running. Did a factory reset on the main router, then rebooted modem, then I set up the networks at the beginning, (QIS) and had them separated, and used the old SSIDs and pws. I have a 2.4 gig with wpa2, non wifi 7 and non mlo, and a 5 (wifi7 mode) and 6 ghz (wifi7 mode)...

So you're basically using that first network, 2.4/5 as your iot then?

Need advice on setup involving a rt-be92u and others..

So is anyone running wide open here? As in, mlo with all 3 bands, and a separate iot 2.4g, with wpa2? I think I saw cc is, anyone else? If wifi7 is turned on in 5ghz , on the network page, will older 5ghz connect? Wondering if anyone had trouble with the connection due to the security. Thanks.

Need advice on setup involving a rt-be92u and others..

Well, as I probably won't add the second 92u until this weekend, I was considering just factory resetting the 96u, then setting up all the networks (everything) on the 96u alone, then after having everything set up... add in the 2 92us. ..Which, I was thinking about, and can I do this? .. at...

Need advice on setup involving a rt-be92u and others..

Ok, thanks for the input. I actually did that, swapped out the ax3000 for the be92u. Now, another step/question in this setup of mine. I have since purchased another be92u. That makes 2, that will be aimeshed with the be96u. So far not one complaint about the 96u from me. I am no way an...

Need advice on setup involving a rt-be92u and others..

Ok, here's my setup. RT-be96u as the main router, also have rt-ax88u and rt-ax3000. in AIMesh. Large home with lots of walls, these three routers seem to do OK in the way of coverage. The ax88u is more aligned with the be96u towards the middle of the house. Lots of IoTs, only 2 on wifi (rest...

Must have gotten a lemon of a RT-BE96U

So far, 3 days in, the second one seeems to be working. Still tweaking a little and learning a bit more about the newer settings.

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

I just meant I have a switch on each router only for more ports. I wasn't sure if a router acting as an AP could use a switch box or not. Hadn't thought about which router was getting swapped, good idea, I'll consider that. Don't mean to confuse, just say that I coukd consider using the other...

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

Couple of questions about that. GT-AX11000 router, AX88u and AX3000 running in AImesh mode. AX11000 is the boss router. I'm replacing the 11000 with (hopefully) the RT-be96u. Should I remove the mesh nodes first before swapping? If so will the mesh nodes need reconfiguring, if I plan on...

Must have gotten a lemon of a RT-BE96U

I think I got the actual lemon, so far. Couple of similar tales on reddit. I bought the 96u, started on a sunday afternoon. Boy did I need it. Got it started, on initial startup, then it wanted to upgrade to newest firmware. I said yes, I don't remember if I even had a choice. That was it...

    Anyone upgraded from a GT-AX11000 to a RT-be96u?

Title says it all. Has anyone actually done a swapout/upgrade yet with these 2 routers? I have a 11000 I'm replacing with the be96u. I was looking for any pointers/experiences before I start on this very soon. I plan on still using the other 2 routers in AImesh as they are running now. I...

Question on AImesh nodes and ssids..

How would I set it up properly then? The main router, the AX11000, shows it as a aimesh node. I currently do not have the option to change its SSID, that I can find. Never mind, got it. They are all hardwired, so maybe it was this easy. I made sure the firmware was current, just removed the...
