    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

Didn't have much luck with Wireshark, but used the built in 'Traffic Monitor' on the RT-AC66U. Both screenshots are streaming the movie 'Braveheart' from the Amazon Instant Video App on the respective consoles. The first screenshot shows the realtime traffic to the PS3 in HD, while the second...

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

All other devices are connecting fine to the RT-N66U. Those devices include 2 Macbook Pro's, TiVo, PS3, Samsung Galaxy Note, and iPhone.

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

I can try and use Wireshark to monitor real-time throughput between the Xbox 360 Slim and RT-AC66U. I'll post up anything/everything I find this evening or tomorrow morning.

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

Just an update, I picked up a dual band external WiFi adapter (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RS7NB2/?tag=snbforums-20) for the Xbox 360 Slim and over the 5GHZ network it works perfectly. So this is technically a workaround, however it'd be nice to not have to use the external adapter all together.

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

Thanks for looking into this Jeremy. I just want to reiterate that it only appears to be an issue with the internal wireless adapter on the Xbox Slim.

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

I can confirm that the issue persists with the RT-AC66U as well. As I stated prior, this issue does not exist when using the RT-N53 instead of the RT-N66U or RT-AC66U. I may go pick up an external Xbox wireless adapter to test on the wireless 5ghz. In the meantime I'll be in touch with...

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

Thank you for the informative post NeutralGold, makes me a little relieved I'm not the only one experiencing the problem. To answer your question I'm using the internal network adapter for the Xbox slim...which I agree seems to be the culprit. I'm not sure if its an Xbox hardware issue or an...

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

I've been measuring that info simply by using the traffic monitor. The reason I started looking into this, is my inability to stream any Xbox Live video service in 'HD'. With my previous router (Apple Airport Express) I was able to stream Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime in HD. Currently yes I'm...

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

sorry about that, this post was originally part of a different thread. my particular issue is that the throughput will not exceed 300kbps between either of my 2 Xbox 360's and my RT-N66U. I've tried all the settings listed in the previous post and haven't had any luck. Last night I tried...

    Xbox360 wireless connection problem

mikeas I've tried nearly everything on my RT-N66u and I cannot get it to play well with either of my 2 Xbox 360's on the 2.4GHz frequency either.. If I hook up my old airport express I have zero issues...but I can't say the same with the RT-N66U regardless of port forwarding, DMZ, channels...

    Slow Streaming on Xbox (RT-N66U)

So I've had my RT-N66U for about a week, and have mostly loved it. However I have noticed some serious slowness when streaming wirelessly via my Xbox 360. Movies/Tv Shows in Amazon, Netflix, Hulu never stream in HD like they did on my Apple Airport Express. I'm running on the 2.4ghz band...
