    Next room hub?

*Update* All been running good now for 3 days. Not a problem. All I did was downgrade AX88U back to 'beta', the AXE16000 untouched. Pretty good thus far :) Printing happily :)

    Next room hub?

Really? Well, it was powered up, and I ran a series of updates, all of which completed (this tests the download speed in Linux), I then proceeded to change my wallpaper, (I hate the stock OS paper) well, that was it! I run several printers, and I need it to be reliable, so... Seriously...

    Next room hub?

Yes, I did test it with a Pi 5, which worked great, before it went down. I should also still be able to access MB from network?, but although that did work, it no longer does, like the Pi. I would like to add, all the rest of my network is fine, all 47 devices. It's the 48th I'm struggling...

    Next room hub?

No ports, as I haven't got to the point of plugging in anything yet. I have wiped both my routers (listed below), and reset galore. Don't get me wrong, it was working for a short while, and was good while it lasted. I'm beginning to think firmware, as it was fine whilst on beta 1 (on 88U)...

    Next room hub?

Got it all set up and was working great, now it's went down?, and never connects. Tried to reboot, remove 160/80/40 etc, nope, it all worked for 30 mins, then bang, nothing. Does 'Media Bridge' have some rules that I may not know about? Both on 3004.388.6 Merlin.

    Is this like a 'mesh'?

    Next room hub?

Thought I'd ask the experts here. I have an AXE16000 as main router, and I'm thinking about placing my spare AX88U (next room) for my 4 3D Printers. What is best way to set this up guys? The AX88U will be solely for this purpose, or will a 'powerline' solution work better? Thanks for any...

    Solved Interesting but curious?

You know, your right. I may just factory reset all dots tomorrow, as I do have the _2/_5 at the tail end of my SSID's :) In saying that, they are fine ATM on 'guest', but at least we are getting to the root of the problem. Thank you again for helping, it is much appreciated, and I will be...

    Solved Interesting but curious?

Gets even stranger, lol. Set up a 'Guest', and put the 3 dots on there (5G), all great. Adjusted my normal 2.4G to 20, all good, dots still on 5G. Decided to choose option to hide SSID on 'Guest', guess what?, lol, yup the dots all jumped back to 2.4??? WTF??!! Unhid SSID on 'Guest', dots...

    Solved Interesting but curious?

Thank you. Forgot about 'guest' thing ;) I will do that. My 2.4 & 5 both have different SSID's anyway. If I'm getting this correctly, then because I have 'forced' 40 on 2.4, then the dots, which are only happy on a 20 width, and the only available 20, is on the 5G band, aka, 20/40/80/160...

    Solved Interesting but curious?

For the past 3 years, on my AX88U (Merlin 386), I have had my three Echo Dot devices running sweetly on the 5G Wi-Fi network, without error. I have a good connection, 1G+, but besides, I had to do a reset of the router last week, no changes to firmware or updates etc. I also run no scripts or...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Sticking with RT-AX88U_386.7_2, as this series just fracks up everything on this router, more so my IPTV. So many random disconnects, Wi-Fi, and ethernet, despite wiping both router and my TV box. All great on 386.7_2, not a blip :)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 is now available for all supported Wifi 6 models

Yes. Wiped and reset router, flashed 3.88.1 again, after reboot, factory restore, then hard reset. Re entered all my settings, which are minimal at best, same WAN disconnect/restart every 5-10 secs, dammed irritating lol, more so for my TV!! Wiped again and reset back to 3.86.8, and it's been...
