[Beta 384/NG] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.5 Beta is now available

If you recently updated to the new Windows 10 build, it seems to filter ipv6 ICMP automatically. This command seemed to have worked for me (Windows 10): netsh firewall set icmpsetting type=all mode=enable Taken from...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 Beta is available

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but it seems that exporting the .ovpn file does not automatically include the server and key certs into the config file. I even tried setting defaults and reconfigured my OpenVPN server manually. Edit: Firmware 382.1_beta1 on RT-AC88U. Edit2: No matter what I...

I have the exact same issue, and using top is showing very minimal CPU usage. Perhaps this a cosmetic bug?

    Help Needed: Firewall Script *Fixed!*

Yes! I could have sworn I tried this, but who knows. Either way it works. Thanks! Thanks! I noticed that after I posted but forgot to fix it in the original post. All of the fixed code will be placed in the opening post shortly.

    Help Needed: Firewall Script *Fixed!*

It worked, thank you! The missing 'fi' was the problem. Now I hope someone can come along and provide advice on the 'expr' function.

    Help Needed: Firewall Script *Fixed!*

(I went over the character limit) Issue 2: Not really an issue per say, but more of a 'nice to have' request. I want to convert the following functions from using EXPR to Ash's built in arithmetic features. nvram set Blacklist=`expr \`ipset -L Blacklist | wc -l\` - 6` nvram set...

    Help Needed: Firewall Script *Fixed!*

I modified @Adamm 's script (http://www.snbforums.com/threads/how-to-dynamically-ban-malicious-ips-using-ipset-firewall-addition.16798/) and with the help of @Maude I was able to use iptables to forward ports to my web server and still have blacklisted users banned as needed. In regards to the...

fail2ban / SSHGuard on computer -> send to iptables on router?

I understand what you are saying. I don't have any sensitive files on my FreeNAS box. This is more for a fun project with the side benefit of possibly hardening the network. No worries. I appreciate the warning and will look at other simpler options that might be beneficial.

fail2ban / SSHGuard on computer -> send to iptables on router?

I have about ten jails, each running a different service. Unfortunately you cannot modify the base of FreeNAS (well, you can, but it is not supported and can break things). I wanted to setup fail2ban to monitor the logs of each service and ban the offending IPs at the router level. If I could...

fail2ban / SSHGuard on computer -> send to iptables on router?

Ok bear with me here and I'll explain what I'm trying to do. I have a FreeNAS server setup that currently hosts a website that has a port forward rule on my router. I wanted to install fail2ban or SSHGuard in a seperate jailed environment and have it monitor each of my jail's connections (this...

I know your post is old, but you may want to look into Network UPS Tools (NUT). I have it running on my FreeNAS but haven't researched if it can be adapted to a router.
