    Unknown Port - System Logs

Makes sense now each device is using port 123 to communicate with the gateway to sync time [emoji2357] I think the external IP from the original post just threw me because I’ve been hacked before. Guess it’s time to buckle down and learn more about networks and network monitoring. Just picked...

    Unknown Port - System Logs

Blocked the port through network services filter so we will see if that holds. I was making life difficult and looking for a CLI way to block the port

    Unknown Port - System Logs

Thank you! Yes, I’m running NTP Merlin, is there a reason it needs to be open though or can I close it?

    Unknown Port - System Logs

System logs are showing port forward is open with port 123 I never open ports on my network because I’m home most of the time. I checked the port forward section and it’s disabled so there isn’t anything for me to disable. There is an open connection using that port under the connections list...

    Trend-Micro Update (Fxmsp Hack)

Apologies, I should’ve done some more digging before posting [emoji51][emoji15]

    Trend-Micro Update (Fxmsp Hack)

“Evidence shows that during the unauthorized access to a single testing lab environment, the malicious group Fxmsp obtained artifacts used for debugging purposes. Remediation measures were immediately implemented, and we continue with further hardening of our systems and policies.”...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Thanks for getting back to me and I'm glad to hear you're not having any issues. From the other answers it looks like it was a lack of vigilance on my part, live and learn =)

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Learn something new everyday. I imagine there is no way to stop things like this from happening other than the standard vigilance? Looks like I found a new topic to dive into haha Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

That makes sense, I guess my next step is to start from scratch and see which one is the culprit. Thanks for the feedback everyone, I truly appreciate it. I guess I was just worried because I've never seen outbound connections like that and it's happening to several devices after installing...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Odd, I've had some outbound activity from my Win10 Laptop as well but nothing to do with the originally listed IP addresses above. Below is the blocked outbound connections from my Win10 Laptop if it helps anyone. 1x | 82.102.21.213 (IT) |...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Definitely an option to consider, thanks! I use the PIA app right now when I'm away from home but the curiosity of which app/site/whatever will eat me alive until I get to the bottom of this lol.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

It was a fresh install I didn't use an iCloud backup as I figured any malware would be loaded right back onto my phone. These outbound attempts are typically happening when I'm not using my phone so it could be something running in the background. I'll try a reboot as you suggested and see if...

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

It would definitely put my mind at ease if that's the case but wouldn't it also mean that my phone could still be making outbound attempts when I'm not covered by Skynet (using cell service for instance) thanks for the feedback!
