So if I understand you correctly, the thing to do is to collect all three devices in one place, disconnect the router XT8 from the network box, then do the pinhole reset on all three. I have three XT8 devices (AX-6600s). One is connected to my Google Fiber 1Gb network box and serves as the base router.
