Issue with 384.81352 on 86U
So, my scheduled weekly reboot occurred last night. I awoke to 80 devices begging for wifi access and never getting more than 1-minute-on/1-minute-off on both bands from my 3 86Us (primary, 2 aimesh nodes), the primary router would also reboot every 15 minutes or so...
(3) rt-ac86u... and six minutes with fingers crossed. Success. I may well be on the forums complaining tomorrow... but this marks my ?5th? firmware upgrade thusfar. And never an issue with the upgrades. Just one click, no manual resets, reboots, or config. All via web client, except one via...
I'll be honest... I've switched to using AiMesh simply because I've hit the age where I'm simply "too tired to fiddle with it" any longer. I've been paying attention since the 2400 baud days, up through the Linksys WRT54G years, through a decade of D-Link, and now I'm settled into an ASUS world...
I trust you're equally upset with Facebook, right? I mean, at least ASUS is telling you its not supported. I see that Facebook is carrying on as if facebook wi-fi is still possible via an ASUS router. See below:

quad80, thx for "refraining". I see you slipped a bit later but I forgive you. now, onward and upward. OE, I loved your first paragraph. Perfectly stated.
wow. my eyes are tired of reading about what could be learned about WPS with a few simple google searches. Reminder: Search this forum AND THE INTERNET before thinking out loud. Thx. No offense intended, if it sounds like I'm being passively aggressive with my wording.
But while on the subject...
I read this entire thread, and one non-technical item kept getting my attention... that many of you have incredibly beefy routers, connected to quite beefy nodes (plural). What sort of house do you all live in, that you need that much hardware? My house is huge (9000 sq ft) spread over 3 floors...
When you say 'greatest', are you including PRICE as a feature? Many of us think its quite important. $322 versus $200 ... as if I needed to remind anyone.
So, based on the aimesh thread... seems there is a 1000 character limit at play. I had named ~17 devices with really long names (such as "Basement - AV - Nvidia Shield"). I went through my client list and shortened many of them. This freed up enough capacity that I could rename my last few...
