Using a smartphone as a VPN Client?

That's a good point. I am living in a remote town where I only get 10Mbps broadband connection. So maybe the throughput won't different from the router at my home. I will check it out. Thank you.

Using a smartphone as a VPN Client?

Phones do perform openvpn encryption decryption though. So it's not possible? Or it's not feasible?

Using a smartphone as a VPN Client?

As the phones nowadays have so much processing power with so much RAM, can we use a smartphone as a VPN client ? By VPN client I mean the one like in Merlin. So that the smartphone is connected to the normal wifi router. The router shall send all the traffic to the smartphone first, the phone...

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

That means I shouldn't touch it then. I don't think there would be any problem with the heat sink because it doesn't get abnormally hot.

Oh okay, thank you for telling me that. But won't it void the warranty if I open it up?

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

I think i will put an air/dust filter on top then to reduce the amount of dust going in. That's very good then :)

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

Yes, you are right. That's what I am doing here too. These are sucking the air out not throwing it in.

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

That's why I kept the fans like this. The fans go down to the bottom of the ventilation holes...There is no ventilation space on side of the router..only back and same on top. So I guess any dust going from top will be sucked by the fan before it reaches the ventilation holes and thrown out of...

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

I considered these one too but these don't have much speed and secondly you can't stick it with the outer casing of the router.

DIY Cooling RT-AC86U, Is it safe? Increased lifespan?

I just put these two fans on the back of my AC86U router (left). The bigger one is 140mm and the smaller one is 120mm. These were spare fans from my PC laying around so I thought of utilising these in this way. Connecting the fans to USB ports make the fans run very slow so I bought a 12V AC to...

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

*Take the node apart from the AiMesh Network. Sorry for the confusing words.

Asus AiMesh causes almost no 2.4GHz throughput

I also had this issue. I have two AC86U routers; one acting as a router and one as a node in an AiMesh system. I would get almost no throughput on 2.4G or too low on my node. It would work fine when the devices were connected to the main router. 5G worked fine on both router and the node. I did...
