Moved over to new firmware - checking 2 things But i have disabled Samba, and sharing this drive via another machine which stays on, Will test 24 hours if it stays stable it might have been samba which was going crazy, on next firmware update will reset it just to be on the safe side...

it was working normally, both router and 2nd node is connected via lan as its backroom usually stays more cooler hence i moved in that room

I use Aimesh, and if i connect the drive to 2nd Node with Samba enabled will it impact performance on the main router or just the node ?

but doesnt downgrading also does that ?

2 Questions 1 If i reset will it fall back to Asus firmware and i need to upgrade to Merlin or it will sit with the latest Merlin firmware 2 Should I backup and export files or do setup from scratch?

the weird thing is no drive is connected, Samba was enabled but i removed my hard drive more than week ago as i had to use it somewhere and new drive i haven't even plugged it in

3 cores are at 100 CPU usage

i usually don't do factory resets after each firmware update, usually rebooting afterward have no issues this is the first facing all this. might be worth just skipping one and test on the next stable release. And if it continues to behave same will do the reset.

Did the downgrade on the firmware and it seems to much more stable, Logging into gateway is much more response now as well

Having weird problems after updating to this firmware. RT-AX88U_3004_388.7_0 1 router randomly will become unresponsive, until i reboot. 2 youtube ( on wifi ) and stuff will work but wont browse anything on websites on lan. Even gateway page becomes unresponsive. If i leave it for 20 30 minutes...

Hello Have a quick question I currently own rt ax88u,thinking of ordering zenwifi To setup better reception in everywhere should I order this and can I use these to boost in the rest of area or does one will stay in router room and I will have to disable WiFi on router ?
