Will this Ubiquiti setup work out?

After some more reading I decided to go with USG since it is the same physical hardware as ERL, but easier to manage with UniFi. Also to save some cash I will host the cloud controller on a Windows Server box I use for File History. I need to cover quite a large area, and my current R7000...

Will this Ubiquiti setup work out?

I run the network for my father's small business. I remade it DIY in 2015 with a Netgear R7000, some TP-Link switches and PoE switches, and around 20 IP cameras. I was going to go the Ubiquiti route back then, but I did not feel comfortable with Enterprise equipment. Anyway, everything was...

Is R7000/AC68U overkill for my setup?

Actually, Android handhelds have had 11ac since the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. It is 1x1, but I still get a 433 Mbps connection on my GS4 with a R7000 on ac, whereas I only get a 58 Mbps connection on the 2.4 GHz (n) band.

Is the Netgear R7000 really as bad as people here make it seem?

Got the router yesterday, and it has been rock solid so far. No hiccups or reboots, and I couldn't ask for more from the stock firmware, although I don't have a fiber connection or a lot of networking experience. The upstream QoS is awesome with a 768 Kbps connection. Just hoping it stays this...

Is the Netgear R7000 really as bad as people here make it seem?

OK thanks. OK so if it doesn't affect 2.4 GHz now then it should be fine? Never used 5 GHz before.

Is the Netgear R7000 really as bad as people here make it seem?

Thanks guys. I guess I'll go with the R7000 after all and install DD-WRT if need be. I have a couple other questions though: 1. Does placing the router behind a glass window significantly affect its 5 GHz range? I have an office separated by glass but otherwise with direct line of sight to...

Is the Netgear R7000 really as bad as people here make it seem?

I am redoing a network for my small business. We currently have a DSL router/modem, and the wireless only reaches about half of the store, although it is behind some aluminum sheets and a mess of coax cable (probably 500 feet of it coiled up right there). The ethernet is currently 10/100, and I...
