    AC88U Link aggregation

Can I use the AC88U's link aggregation with a semi-managed network switch? I am using a Netgear JGS524Ev2 and from what I understand, LACP is not supported - only Static LAG. Does the AC88U support it?

Why No 10GbE For Home Users?

Just going to chip in here that in Singapore, we have 3 Internet Service Providers providing consumer 10Gbps fibre internet. 1 uses X-GPON while the other uses the government-appointed NGNBN provider (NetLink trust) with a not-so-consistent transfer rate. The provider using X-GPON is selling a...

    [How-To] Link Aggregation/LACP on RT-AC68U/W/R/P

Hello! I've read through the thread but am confused on what set of commands I should use for my AC-87U. My ISP sends both IPTV and Internet traffic over a single RJ45 port from the Fibre Terminal. This is currently configured on the AC87U as the ISP profile, Singtel-Others. (IPTV = VLAN 20...

    AsusWRT - Vlan Trunking

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a similar issue. I have a TP-Link Easy Smart Switch that somehow does not allow me to set a PRIO number on the VLAN (at least not from what I can find on the manuals/windows utility) My issue is that I need VLAN 20 PRIO 4 for my IPTV to work (this works...

The 5G radio signal turn off sometimes

1 day in. No issues so far! But my 5ghz issue occured only about 1 week+ into leaving the router turned on.

The 5G radio signal turn off sometimes

I had the same issue on 378.55. Testing on 378.56 now to see if the issue persists.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I have 2 AC87 units set up at two different locations on differing Fibre ISPs. One requires a VLAN to access the internet and for IPTV, while the other has direct access to the internet without any VLAN (no IPTV service on this second one). I updated...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 2 is out

Unable to connect to WAN after update to beta 2 (from .55). I am using the ISP Profile Singtel-Others (where the VLAN on port 4 is 20 for the IPTV). Link is detected on WAN on Tools page (1000mbps full duplex) but WAN always says Disconnected. Rolling back to .55 now.

    IPTables for DNS redirection

Sorry, I'm unsure on how I would go about using such a tool. The dnsfilter command via SSH tells me its not found and I can't seem to find such an option on the Web GUI (I'm using your latest build on an AC68U)

    IPTables for DNS redirection

Hi guys, I'm trying to set up a set of iptables rules to redirect Google Public DNS Servers to another set of DNS servers as the Chromecast has Google's IP Addresses hardcoded in the device. I have the Chromecast's IP Address static on 192.168.1.123 and am attempting to reroute all DNS...

    Asus RT-AC87U and NAS

RAID 1 is incredibly risky when you have such large files. Some key things to note in relation to your concerns in purchasing an NAS: 1) NAS = Network Attached Storage. Connect the NAS to your router via Ethernet (or several Ethernet ports) and not USB. 2) DAS is not what you're looking for...

Router to computer to other computer?

Typically such small desktop switches consume extremely low power anyway. (A TP-Link box drew only 1W of power with 2 PCs connected if I remember correctly) The alternative if you really don't want to have another device that requires external power, is to purchase an expansion card to add an...

    Printer server

The compatibility only matters when connecting the printer to the router via USB. Typically, printers which are network-capable wirelessly are also likely able to connect to your network via a wired Ethernet connection as well. Compatibility with the router in this case wouldn't matter. If...

Network HDD R/W speeds are slower despite Gbps connectivity ... Why ?

Using a 2010 NAS from Thecus configured on RAID 5 for a total of 4TB of useable space, I get about 40 MB/s write and 65 MB/s read for a single 18GB file transfer over a gigabit connection. NAS -> RT-AC68U -> D-Link Green 8-port Gigabit Switch -> Win7 Desktop I think a more practical way to...
