AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

Powerlines (the equipment that allows you to sent a ethernet signal through your house plug sockets) some of them have a power saving functionality, where if they aren't used, the powerlines switch off, if it's tp-link you have to download a program in order to change the options, some even...

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

I'm happy to report since aimesh 2.0 I've had no nodes going zombie, I'm still using the power lines in my setup between the main node (gt-ax11000) and the node (rt-ac86u) using the same firmware as mentioned before, (3.0.0.4.386 on both models) no issues to speak of I'm very happy with the...

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

I can confirm it is indeed built in to windows 10 powershell. Nice find @OzarkEdge you can also download openssh for windows 8.1 and integrate it using https://github.com/PowerShell/Win32-OpenSSH Takes a lot of work

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

You don’t need a client on Windows 10 anymore, enable subsystem for Linux, with in “windows add ons” you’ll find that under add and remove programs. after you’ve enabled subsystem for Linux under windows 10 you’ll have a bash application, just type bash after enabling the add on, then you can...

Beta ASUSWRT 386 RC2 public beta with full functions AiMesh 2.0 (continued)

@ForkWNY explained he wasn’t using the button anymore, I explained the only other way I know of is removing the nodes from the main node network resets them to default. so there’s no need to use the button method after you remove a node from the main node. my question to @ForkWNY : if you...

How do you reset them back to default? only way I know of is to remove them from the main node in the web ui, is there another way I am missing? can you access the nodes directly now?

I’ll be sure to test the new “reconnect node” feature out when and if time requires it, thank you for sharing the information of the new feature with me

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

As I have said previously, removing power, turning the socket off then back on does nothing for me, it stays in zombie state till I factory reset it. but this was on AiMesh 1.0 not 2.0 Again I can access the nodes IP address when it gos in to this zombie state, so if the option to reset the...

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

Unlike you @Daddio my offline nodes stay offline even after a reboot of the main node (router) ever experienced that yet ?

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

Ethernet still has lower latency than wifi, even if ax is now faster (in speed), it’s not when it comes to latency, power lines retain Ethernet latency where as wifi doesn’t I unfortunately don’t have another AiMesh node. I only have an gt-ax11000 and a RT-ac86u The reason why the rt-ac86u...

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

My thoughts exactly, which is why when a drop off zombie node happens it would be great to have a way to recover it remotely. If just for recovery reasons

AiMesh Node going OFFLINE after a few weeks

Things don’t get wet if that’s what your asking, no condensation? If it was the power lines, I would of seen no connection when hooking in to the one the node uses also as mentioned before, by the node showing offline on the main node and never coming back online, despite me power cycling...
