    Adding the static route works for now. That really makes no sense to me of how it's not getting routed on it's own.

    Thanks for the link. I am not using a VPN or LA. Connection is just on automatic with both modems through the router.

    I just purchased a Netgear cm1000v2 modem. Previously using a cm600 paired with my Asus Rt-ac86u. I have no issues accessing the modem ui on the cm600 via 192.168.100.1 After installing the the cm1000v2 I checked the signal strengths and everything straight wired to the PC from the modem...

    Right! I actually went and purchased a Nighthawk xr1000 to test and low and behold the same issue. So, it has to be some kind of interference but I can't figure out what. I haven't changed anything here and like i said previously, only 1 other 5ghz wifi is even near me. It's also far enough away...

    If it's on channel 36-48 it doesn't come on after any period of time. No, honestly not sure what that is.

    They were reset afterwards. I worded that odd sorry. I figured it was a hardware issue as well but if you read my second post I purchased a Ax86u today and it literally did the exact same thing so I'm clueless now.

    There is only 1 5ghz wifi other than mine that's in range. Yes the router was reset with wps after I reinstalled the asus fw and the merlin. Was purchased in 2018 on Amazon. Production year: 2018 Made in China

    I don't see anything abnormal to be honest. Nothing that would sound related.

    It actually did show up for a few seconds when i changed it to auto, it doesn't show up on wifi scanner now.

    I have about 15 devices that I connect to the 5ghz band in my home. None can even see the network. Also does not show up as even existing on wifi scanner.

    If I put it on anything lower than 149 the wifi does not broadcast at all. I haven't tried the dfs channels but nothing from 36-48 works at all.

    Now I'm even more stumped because I went and purchased a Ax86u and it's doing the same thing.
