    Agreed, but the main point is that a more premium router is worth the expense, even on a low speed ADSL line. It helps reduce a lot of problems, and can eliminate some variables in troubleshooting bad internet service.

    So is 45717 still considered the last stable firmware? I have only one router, no nodes. I'm happy with 45717 and don't want to create problems for nothing.

    Ok, thanks for the responses. I just use the NAS to periodically back up my computers, but yes, I should look at using the new router for this. The NAS is old tech for sure, and it's probably just a basic incompatibility issue.
