Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

😂 I got back to Asus routers/nodes after a l o n g hiatus, I just wanted to see what my options were. I can say with 100% certainty netgear consumer routers are even worse! I had the one that looks like a starship from Star Wars, garbage. QNAP, garbage, anything google branded, garbage, Amazon...

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

Yep, I hear you, it’s so frustrating when an expensive, highly acclaimed device doesn’t work as advertised. I had a lot of issues, but nothing close to what you’re experiencing. It wasn’t until about 3 firmwares ago when it started working properly, and I literally tested the sh!t out of it...

Also, I’m thinking you didn’t connect the nodes via the wan port vs the lan port?

Ok. So now I’m wondering how the reset was done? Did you unplug all the nodes, reset the router (using the black and white reset button on the bottom of the router) then setup the router manually? After the router is fully setup, repeat the same steps for the nodes. The nodes “must” (I hate that...

That's weird, ok the only other thing I can recommend it to setup the nodes as APs (just for troubleshooting/testing) and if the newly setup APs reset, then it maybe a hardware issue. Keep in mind though, I have no idea if this suggestion will work. Good luck.

The right click, copy link has been disabled. I used IDM to capture the link, I hope this works. ASUS ZenWiFi BQ16 Pro Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_36935 Edit: Just tried downloading from the link above and it works on my end. Edit: The link above was disabled, not sure why or by who.

No need to reset any clients just the BQ16Pros and use the same SSID’s and passwords you used before with the new setup after the reset.

I have no clue, sorry. The only advice I can give is to reset the router and node(s), then setup from scratch. I’m assuming you have firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_36909 installed?

Hey guys, I just hit 30 days with no disconnection issues. The firmware update dated 10 March (3.0.0.6.102_36909) and a reset of all 3 BQ16 Pros did the trick.

Hello, I’m assuming your BQ16 Pros and still working as intended. 2 quick questions, do you have MLO enabled and are the nodes connected to the network wirelessly or wired? Thanks
