I've a linksys / cisco rv042g. I like to port 51820 to a particular machine in my internal network. I like to run wireguard on the internal machine. I can't get port forwarding to work on it. it keep on saying the port is not open. Can anybody help? TIA!
rv260 is probably your best bet for reliability and security. And that's by a long margin compared to the other two routers. to show you how reliable they are, Cisco actually gives you a limited lifetime warranty on it. And the firmware support is like 7 yrs or more. I am almost sure you can...
Good
Glad to hear that! Cisco have better service than Linksys most of the time. I have a rv082 and when I had to contact Cisco support, they were knowledgeable and helpful! I think my router even has lifetime warranty on it.
I'm on the road all the time using open wireless network. I have a rv082 at home that I connect with quickvpn. Is there a way to force all my network traffic (like browsing) thru the vpn tunnel? I know my bandwidth is slow for upload at home but I to do that for sensitive sites. Will...
Also
Also you should impress the owners that if the router goes down, nobody in your organization will get any internet. If that doesn't scare them, I don't know what will. Installing Windows on one machine is one thing as the worst is you make a mistake (not saying you will) cause one person...
Well
Well, just tell them that it is beyond your reach to help them. From what you said so far, you don't have the level of expertise. I know it is blunt but it is the truth. If you tinker with it and the vpn server crash, you will get the blame. You should know the owner know the situation...
My church as a Buffalo Linkstation Duo LS-WX1.0TL. I can find it with Buffalo's Navigator and map it to a drive letter. It is on DHCP right now. I like to able to find it and map it to a drive letter without using Navigator. Is that possible? Do I need to set it for static IP? tx
Hi, I need to get a VPN router that will let the the secretary to contact to company's NAS. I like to use QuckVPN to simplicity of administration. I was about to use RV042 but I see RVS4000 for 1/2 price. I don't need dual WAN. Is RVS4000 any good? I only need 1-2 tunnels at a time. Thanks!
What i mean
What i mean is whether the ts-219 II will insist on me format the drive and have to restore from my bkup. In theory i don't have to ask both are linux boxes and format the drive to ext2 format, don't they?
Hi, I have a Dlink DNS-323 right now and love to move to a TS-219 II. Would I need to format the drive to be used on the new NAS? I'm backing up the data anyway but I just like to save a little time if I can. tx
I have been using my ver 1 RV082 for a few years now. I have been getting pretty satisfactory speed out of it until now. I am with Shaw cable in Vancouver, Canada. I had been on their "extreme" package (15 megabyte) for a few years now consistently getting 10-12. I recently I upgrade to...
your best bet
Your best bet is to concentrate everything together in one place (your office on second floor). I really don't think powerline thing is any good even if the review said it is good. An old house may not have the right kind of wiring to give you good speed. I recommend you keep on...
